In an interview with Mehr reporter, Mohammad Nasiri stated: After the suspension of the election process in March and its resumption in Mehr, the necessary executive measures including training of the leaders, delivery of election items and holding of related maneuvers have been carried out and currently, the time of the election has not been determined.
He added: The Minister of Interior has announced November as the proposed date for holding elections, but this date has not been decided yet and the final decision depends on the Supreme National Security Council's opinion. After determining the holding time, the remaining processes continue from the stop stage.
The secretary of the election headquarters of Qazvin province, referring to the holding of elections in an all-electronic manner, considered training as one of the requirements for the implementation of this process and said: the members of the election headquarters, the leaders and the people are three groups that should receive the necessary training.
Nasiri continued: The necessary trainings for the members of the staff and the heads of the groups have been completed, and the stage of general education of the people will also begin through the test maneuver of the electronic cash registers.
No change has been made in checking the eligibility of candidates
Nasiri also explained about the status of candidates' eligibility check: When the election process was stopped, the qualifications check, handling of complaints and announcement of the results had been completed, and the remaining steps included the advertisement of the candidates, obtaining votes, counting the votes and announcing the results.
He emphasized: So far, there has been no change in the results of candidates' qualifications and the processes followed in this department remain in force.
The Secretary of Election Headquarters of Qazvin province also emphasized the necessity of preparing the people, media, political parties and groups to participate in the elections and demanded to start again the information activities and increase the election enthusiasm in the province.
