Jetor Traveler 7, as Chery's latest off-road SUV with a box design and various gasoline and plug-in hybrid engines, was officially launched in the Chinese market to change the equations of this price category.

Through its subsidiary brand, Chery continues to seriously develop rugged SUVs. Applicants of this mid-size car have the option of ordering traditional internal combustion engines or an advanced rechargeable hybrid system. In the exterior part, the famous cubic and boxy appearance of this family has been preserved with circular lights connected to the light strip and rectangular air intake. The length of the body is 4,827 mm, its width is 2,006 mm, the height of the car is 1,875 mm and the wheelbase is 2,800 mm. Buyers can order 6 exterior colors including Sunlight Gold, Misty Ridge Green, Highway Gray, Polar Night Black, Snow Mountain Silver and Aurora Blue.

The interior of the car hosts a 15.6-inch central screen and a 10.25-inch driver's digital cluster, whose information is processed by the 8255 chip and the Tour OS 3.3 system. Twelve-layer cloud seats are equipped with heating, ventilation, eight-point air massage and ten-mode electric adjustment. The audio system with 23 speakers and acoustic double-glazed windows ensure the comfort of the cabin.

Falcon 500 driver assistance system based on Horizon Journey 6M processor with 128 TOPS processing power is responsible for intelligent driving. Jetor plans to equip future versions with lidar and Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5.0 self-driving system.

The gasoline version covers two options of 1.5 and 2 liter turbocharged engines. The 2-liter turbo engine has the capacity to produce 187 kW (251 hp) and 390 Nm of torque and is paired with a 7-speed double-clutch or 8-speed automatic transmission; The 1.5-liter engine produces 135 kW (181 hp) and 290 Nm of torque.

The C-DM plug-in hybrid model offers a total power of 375 kW (502 hp) and a torque of 550 Nm. The batteries are available in two capacities of 26.61 and 45.12 kWh, which provide an all-electric driving range between 140 and 251 km in the CLTC cycle. The gasoline version is equipped with XWD four-wheel drive system with 7+X off-road modes, 27° entry angle, 30° exit angle, 220mm ground clearance and 700mm water immersion depth.
