Russian Minister Explains How Attacks and External Conditions Affect Economic Forecasts

Maxim Reshetnikov said Russia's socio-economic development forecast is relatively conservative.

Moscow, October 12. /TASS/. Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Rashtnikov said the forecast for Russia's socio-economic development for 2026 and the period between 2027 and 2029 is relatively conservative, despite the fact that external price conditions could be more favorable than expected, adding that non-economic risks, including risks related to drone attacks on its facilities, exist for every country.

"Overall, the forecast remains relatively conservative. Foreign price conditions could be better than we expect. At the same time, we understand that risks from non-economic factors, including attacks on infrastructure and industrial facilities, continue. All of this could lead to a temporary deviation from the projected growth path," he said at the meeting of the State Budget and Taxation Committee.

He added: It is expected that a balanced budget for the three-year period will reduce the risk of inflation, stabilize the interest rate, and ensure the revival of investment and the fulfillment of social obligations.
