The development of tourism infrastructure in Hasanlu village is a priority

Urmia - The governor of West Azerbaijan called the development of tourism infrastructure of Hasanlu village one of the province's priorities and said: After Shams Tabrizi complex, Hasanlu village is one of the most important tourism capacities of the province.

According to Mehr reporter, Reza Rahmani, while visiting Hasanlu Dam and Wetland on Thursday evening, referring to Urmia Grand Mosque and Hasanlu Hill's historical site on the path of UNESCO's world registration, added: "Unfortunately, these works have not received enough attention in the past years, and the slowness of actions has led to warnings from UNESCO."

He also emphasized the necessity of using the natural and tourism capacities of Hasanlu region, and noted that by investing and creating the necessary infrastructure, this region can be turned into a tourist destination and even a place for national rowing team camps.

The governor of West Azarbaijan announced the creation of basic facilities and the beginning of handing over the responsibility to the Housing Foundation and added: a specific schedule will be determined for the complete restoration of Hasanlu wetland and the completion of tourism infrastructure.

Referring to the completion and operation of Shams Tabrizi Court in Khoy, Rahmani added: With the same effort, we are pursuing the development of Hasanlu village and the preparation of the tourist area around it so that the past neglects are compensated and this valuable capacity is available to the people.

He considered the cooperation of the people, especially the residents of the villages in the region, as promising and added: In the past year, despite the limited resources, good actions have been taken, and with the cooperation of the responsible institutions and the participation of the people, the development and revival of the Hasanlu region will continue seriously.

Hasanlu Dam is one of the important water infrastructures of the region and Hasanlu Wetland is also one of the valuable habitats of aquatic and waterside birds and one of the satellite wetlands of the Urmia Lake catchment, which is of particular importance to protect and restore.
