According to Mehr reporter, Hojjat-ul-Islam Yaser Taheri, the imam of the Imam Hassan Askari (AS) mosque located in Rahband area of Sari and a member of the clerical community in the center of Mazandaran, was killed today in his private home.

According to the published preliminary information, this incident occurred with the use of cold weapons; However, until now, no definite details about the motive of the murder and the identity of the perpetrator or possible perpetrators have been announced.

Ali Abbasi, Director General of Mazandaran Forensic Medicine stated: Investigators are currently present at the scene of the accident and preliminary investigations are underway to evaluate the scene.

He added: After the body is transferred and the case is referred to the forensic medicine, the cause and manner of the murder will be announced.
