Zoroastrian representative wrote to Minister Trump; Mr. Rubio! Our task is not to repeat the ancient wars/ Instead of swearing by the white beard of the Westerners, practice wisdom.

The Zoroastrians' representative in the parliament, in a note in response to Marco Rubio's claims in Athens about Xerxes' campaign and the burning of the temples of Athens, emphasized the need to avoid selective reading of history and clarified: Iran is a land of culture, civilization and resistance, and threats and humiliation cannot break the will of the Iranian nation.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Behshid, the representative of Zoroastrians in the Islamic Council, in a note, he reacted to Marco Rubio's recent claims in Athens, and by referring to Herodotus' historical accounts of the conflicts between Iran and ancient Greece, he emphasized that history cannot be considered selective.

According to Khaneh Mellat, the full text of the note is as follows:

In the name of Ahura Mazda, Lord of wisdom and truth;

In the name of Iran, the land of wisdom, culture and resistance;

And in the name of a nation that has risen from the heart of fire many times over thousands of years, but has never buried its identity and will.

You stood in Athens, in front of the Acropolis and in the shadow of the columns of Greek history, and spoke of ancient times. You talked about Xerxes army, you talked about the burning of the temples of Athens and you used history to draw the border between civilizations.

History cannot be considered selective; One cannot remember a part of it and forget the other part. If you are going to talk about history, all its narratives should be heard; Not only the part that serves politics and power today. So let me refer you to a book written not by an Iranian, but by the Greek historian Herodotus; The same date in which the story of the attack of the Athenians and Ionians on Sardis, one of the important centers of the Achaemenid Empire, is recorded.

Around 498 BC, Athenian and Ionian forces attacked Sardis and set fire to parts of the city and its temple. In the fifth book, Herodotus narrates the anger of Darius the Great and his oath to remember the Athenians; According to his report, Darius ordered that the Athenians remember him three times a day.

Read this historical narrative; Because the memory of nations is not built by deleting the unpleasant pages of history. A few decades later, in 480 BC, Xerxes' army arrived in Athens and the Acropolis and a number of its sacred buildings were burnt down. This event is also recorded in the history of Herodotus.

But our question is: Is it possible to talk about that time and ignore the previous contexts of the conflict? Can history be turned into a tool to humiliate a nation in the present day?

Mr. Rubio! History is not the propaganda office of any government; It is a mirror in which everyone should see their own face before pointing at others.

I, as the representative of the Zoroastrian community of Iran in the Islamic Council, speak from the position of a nation whose cultural roots reach deep into history; A nation that, in its intellectual heritage, has put truth against lies, wisdom against ignorance, and prosperity against destruction. In Zoroastrian culture, good thought, good speech and good deed are not only words to embellish speech; They are criteria for measuring human behavior and power.

It is from this position that we say: if you talk about civilization, respect civilization; If you talk about history, don't distort it; And if you talk about peace and security, don't interpret the threat of a nation with the language of civilizational supremacy. Iran was not born with a speech and will not die with a speech. Iran is the land of culture and civilization; The land of thought and poetry, the land of knowledge and architecture, the land of heritage that has passed through the ups and downs of history and is still alive.

This nation has seen many storms of the times; But it has not lost its identity. Cities and buildings may be damaged, borders may undergo transformation, but the historical memory of a nation cannot be extinguished by threats and humiliation.

The era of those who think that they can crush the will of a nation with a show of power is over. Iran cannot be summed up in a few political sentences; As no civilization can be known only by its historical wars and failures. We do not welcome war; But we do not consider submission to threats as a virtue either. We want mutual respect, stable security and a future in which nations do not speak to each other with the language of contempt, but with the language of wisdom. Iran is the result of thousands of years of memory, culture, experience and national will.

If someone thinks that he can bring this nation to its knees with threats, he should know that the real power of a country is not only in the number of its weapons and equipment; It is in the connection of its people with the land, in its cultural capital, in the ability to stand and in the will to build the future, which the noble people of Iran have proven today by being in the field for more than 220 days.

We are the children of a land that in its civilizational memory, from Cyrus and Dariush to Ferdowsi and the thinkers and sacrificers of the contemporary era, such as the Hammats, Bakris, Soleimanis and Bagheris, students of Minab and Lamard, millions of unknown soldiers, soldiers behind the launchers and the existence of the martyred leader in the front line, remembers various narratives of power, wisdom and identity.

But today, our duty is not to repeat ancient wars; Our duty is to learn from history so that future generations do not have to pay the price of past mistakes again. Read the history, Mr. Rubio; Not to revive 2,500-year-old grudges, but to know that humiliating nations does not open a path to peace.

From the position of the representative of Zoroastrians of Iran, relying on the heritage of truth and wisdom, I express this message clearly: Iran wants respect, not pity; wants security, not threats; And he wants a relationship based on mutual respect, not a hierarchy in which one nation considers itself the judge of other civilizations. And if someone continues to choose the language of threats, our answer is clear: the Iranian nation, relying on its awareness, solidarity and will, will defend its right to self-determination and independence.

We are not afraid of history; We learn from history. We do not run away from the future; We build the future. And in the name of Ahura Mazda, the Lord of wisdom and truth, we believe that lasting victory comes from wisdom, truth and good deeds; Not of pride, hatred and destruction.

So remember this saying: don't threaten Iran; Know Iran. Do not distort history; Learn from it. And don't use civilization as an excuse for enmity; Make it a bridge for the understanding of nations. Iran is alive; With its culture, with its people, with its historical memory and with the hope that is passed from generation to generation. we are standing Not to glorify war, but to protect the homeland, the nation's dignity and the right to live in security and independence.

I advise you to use wisdom instead of making Westerners swear by the white beard of Socrates to join you in attacking Iran. Today, in this note, I remind you of Darius the Great's words to repeat to yourself three times a day; The fact that the anger of the nation has been aroused will burn every demon. So be afraid and know that Ahuramazda is with us and we will definitely win.

Payende Iran; Truthful; The wind of wisdom wins over darkness.
