Overdue Ordibehesht Pensions to Be Paid in Coming Weeks / No Decision Made on Salary Increase for Second Half of Year
The head of the Social Security Organization said efforts are underway to pay retirees' overdue Ordibehesht payments in the coming weeks.
The head of the social security organization announced the efforts to pay the pensioners' arrears for the month of May in the coming weeks.
According to Arjan's ambassador, Gholam Hossein Mohammadi, the head of the social security department, in response to a question about the latest status of pensioners' arrears payments, the implementation of proportionality of salaries and the possibility of salary increases in the second half of the year, provided explanations.
Regarding the possibility of increasing pensioners' salaries in the second half of the year, he said: the issue of salary increase basically depends on the country's supreme decisions, and so far no decision has been taken in this regard for the second half of the year. Naturally, if a decision is made, the social security organization will follow it.
Regarding the latest status of pensioners' arrears payments, Mohammadi said: "Arrears related to April were paid in September, and now we are looking to pay the arrears of May in the coming weeks."
The head of the social security organization explained the reason for not announcing the exact time of payment of these demands: the organization is ready to pay the arrears, but doing so depends on decisions made by the country's banking partners. The president has also issued orders in this regard and we are waiting for the bank's decisions to be finalized so that payments can be made in the shortest possible time.
In response to a question about the definite time of payment of the arrears in May, he emphasized: As I have already announced, these payments will definitely be made by November, but we hope that by making faster banking decisions, we will be able to pay the pensioners' arrears sooner.
