We Have Plans for the Championship; I Was Shocked by the Futsal Award Amounts
The head coach of Esteghlal women's futsal team, criticizing the award amounts given to the top performers in women's futsal, called these amounts unexpectedly low and called for a review of how players and clubs are recognized.
The head coach of Esteghlal in a conversation with Mehr:
The head coach of the Esteghlal women's futsal team criticized the amounts of the awards for the best women's futsal players, considered these amounts far from expected and demanded a review of how players and clubs are awarded.
In a conversation with Mehr reporter, Shahnaz Yari said about the conditions of the Premier Women's Futsal League in the new season and the presence of 15 teams in this competition: I always believed that the capacity of the Premier Women's Futsal League cannot be more than 10 or 12 teams. Of course, all teams say that they have closed good teams, but for us, the quality of the league is important. We want the money we spend to lead to high-quality games and both groups can show good performance. No team should be a winner or a loser. When there are such conditions in the league, we can say that the quality of the matches is high. We hope to see an improvement in quality this year, not just an increase in quantity.
The head coach of the Esteghlal women's futsal team further commented on the goals of this club in the new season and the plan of the blue-coats to defend the title of the last season: Esteghlal's conditions have improved in terms of budget compared to the previous season and there have been changes. All our efforts are to be able to defend our championship title. It is very important for us and the club that in the second year of Esteghlal's presence in women's futsal, we can defend the title we won in our first appearance.
He added: Of course, we all know that defending the title is much more difficult. Psychologically, when a team wins the championship, other teams have a great motivation to beat that team and experience this pleasure. Therefore, our opponents face Esteghlal with high motivation in every match, and naturally more pressure will be put on our team, but we hope to be able to manage these conditions and with God's help, try again for the championship.
In another part of his talk about the role of the Premier League in the preparation of the national team and the approach of the technical staff of the women's national team to club competitions, Yari said: I think there is some contradiction in this field. As you mentioned, a generational change has happened in the national teams and even some experienced players who could help the team have been left out. It should be seen how much the selected players are interested in by the technical staff and whether they will get a chance to play in the league or not.
He continued: These issues are not within my authority and I prefer not to comment definitively on the plans and goals of the national team's technical staff because I do not know the details of their plans for the team's preparation and my view may be different from their goals. However, if I were in that position, I would probably choose a different method.
The head coach of Esteghlal said: I was really surprised by the amount of the awards because I did not know what amount was going to be paid. After the ceremony, they informed me how much the prize was. I was really shocked when I opened the envelope and saw the amount and at first I thought I was wrong, I thought the minimum prize amount was more.
In the end, Yari emphasized the need to pay more attention to the clubs and hold a proper ceremony to honor the best players and noted: Clubs spend money to participate in the league and they expect that their efforts will be paid attention to in addition to these costs. I hope that the relevant authorities will review this matter so that more appropriate awards are considered and the best ceremony is held in a way that preserves the dignity of the competitions, clubs and players.
