Final Moments of Hayden Puntiere Revealed in Frantic 911 Call from Boyfriend's Brother

Hayden Panettiere's final moments were captured in a frantic 911 call as her boyfriend's brother desperately tried to revive the actress after she was found unconscious in a South Carolina apartment on August 16.

"Oh, God, oh, my God - do you like CPR or something?" Zach Hickerson asked the dispatcher in newly released audio obtained by ABC News and CBS News.

The seven-minute call shows Hickerson performing CPR on Panettiere while Brian Hickerson administered Narcan.

Panettiere, 36, was found unresponsive at a Greenville residence on Aug. 16. Zack told the 911 operator that he arrived at the apartment after returning from church to find his brother and Pantier inside.

"She woke up and her daughter... she's passed out," Zach said.

The dispatcher asked if Pontier was breathing.

The operator then instructed Zack to place Pantier on his back and begin CPR while emergency crews rushed to the scene.

As the death investigation deepened, representative Hayden Pantier criticized the "rumors and speculation".

"Okay, we need to start CPR," the dispatcher said. "I'm going to tell you how to do CPR, okay?"

The operator brought Zack down through chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation

"We're going to do this 500 times or until help arrives," the dispatcher said, according to ABC News.

Zach continued to perform CPR until first responders arrived. Bryan was reportedly prescribed Narcan, a drug used to reverse the effects of opioid overdoses.

In a statement to TMZ shortly after Pantiere's death, Zach said he called 911 after he and Bryan tried to wake the actress.

"When we got in and tried to wake Hayden up, we found him unconscious," she said. I immediately called 911 and Brian gave her Narcan. We then jointly performed CPR with 911 on speakerphone until Fire and EMS arrived.

Pantier was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:32 p.m.

Pantier died of the toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, alprazolam, methocarbamol and quetiapine, according to the Greenville County Coroner's Office. The manner of death was declared accidental.

"First responders and emergency medical services arrived on scene and found a woman in cardiac arrest. EMS personnel began advanced cardiac life support measures; however, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and the person was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m.."

"The Greenville County Coroner's Office responded to the scene and began a parallel investigation with the Greenville City Police Department. The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Hayden Leslie Pantier of California. Pantier was found unresponsive inside the residence where he was temporarily staying."

"An autopsy was completed by a board certified forensic pathologist. The autopsy revealed no evidence of trauma contributing to the death.

According to TMZ, Hickerson traveled from Los Angeles with the "Remember the Titans" actor the day before he was deemed unresponsive. The two split briefly in 2022, but rekindled their romance the following year. Hickerson's brother confirmed to police that Brian was in a relationship with the actress at the time of Pantier's death.
