Israeli settlers beat and robbed a WaPo reporter in the West Bank (video)

WaPo photojournalist Heidi Levine has been attacked by violent Israeli settlers in the West Bank. Read the full article on RT.com.

The attack took place on Friday near the village of Abu Falah, the latest in a series of attacks by organized settler groups. Masked settlers have repeatedly attacked Palestinian villages, throwing stones and setting fire to gardens in an apparent attempt to disrupt the autumn harvest. The Israeli army, which is usually present there, has not taken any action against the settlers.

"They were just kicking me and kicking me, probably 50 times," Levine told reporters after the incident.

Footage from the scene shows the immediate aftermath, with Levin seen on the ground after the residents were pushed back by prone villagers. The journalist was badly shaken but apparently escaped more serious injuries thanks to a protective vest and helmet.

The Washington Post strongly condemned the attack and called for a full investigation. "While we are outraged that Heidi received medical attention and is safe, we are outraged by this unjustified attack on a journalist doing her job and are calling for a full investigation and prosecution," Post executive editor Matt Murray said in a statement.

Journalists documenting settler violence have increasingly fallen victim to it. The Committee to Protect Journalists has recorded at least 16 incidents involving 35 Palestinian, Israeli and international journalists in the first eight months of 2026 alone, which is more than the number recorded in 2025.
