Lawmaker: People's Backs Are Breaking; Resolving Livelihood Issues Must Be a Priority

A member of the Social Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly stressed: Today we declare loudly that the government must spare no effort, even borrowing from other credit lines, and devote itself to the challenges and problems of workers, staff, and laborers, and by extension retirees.

In a situation where people are expected to be resilient in a war situation and overcome the difficult conditions of the country by maintaining peace and cohesion, the continuation of some social restrictions and the intensification of polarizations raises the question of how far the way of facing the demands and concerns of the society can help to strengthen social solidarity.

According to Ilna, in such a situation, paying attention to society's sensitivities and avoiding actions that can lead to increasing dissatisfaction and distance between people is particularly important. It is expected that in a situation where the preservation of national unity and people's cooperation becomes a doubly necessary, decisions will be made by understanding social realities and paying attention to public demands.

The continuation of restrictions that are associated with social sensitivities, regardless of the views and demands of society, not only does not help to strengthen social solidarity, but can increase public dissatisfaction and deepen the distance between people and decision-makers.

On the other hand, talking to the community, listening to the voices of different groups and avoiding one-sided approaches can provide a context for mutual understanding and reducing social tensions. In the current sensitive situation, strengthening public trust and maintaining social capital requires that people's demands be taken seriously and instead of actions that may lead to the aggravation of dissatisfaction, solutions that rely on social participation, empathy and national cohesion are used.

"Ahmed Fatemi" in an interview with ILNA reporter about the fact that in a situation where we want the people to be resilient against the enemy, but we are witnessing the demands of some to apply social restrictions, should the priority be the people's table or the measures that make the people angrier and put them under some kind of pressure, he said: At the same time, we should address the concerns of the society regarding social disorders and abnormal behaviors and Let's understand social phenomena, but what should be prioritized today is the issue of people's livelihood and tables.

This member of the Social Commission of the Islamic Council stressed: Today we loudly announce that the government should do all it can and even borrow from other credit lines and take care of the challenges and problems of the employees, workers and retirees.

He emphasized: When the tables of workers, employees, retirees and people are getting smaller and empty and their backs are being broken and crushed, other issues should be prioritized. In fact, the main focus of the government should be on people's travels and livelihoods.

Fatemi continued: I know that the president has set aside 20,600 points for government employees under the extraordinary special title, which of course we in the parliament in the budget of 1405, out of 25,000 points, put 4,400 points for government employees, but for 20,600 points, a bill must be brought by the government as soon as possible.

He pointed out: On the other hand, our discussion was that for the workers, according to the issue raised in the Supreme Labor Council and in the Parliament, necessary measures should be taken and wages and salaries should be increased twice a year.

This member of the Social Commission of the Islamic Council stated: This issue becomes more important due to the economic conditions of the country, the increase in living costs and the decrease in the purchasing power of households, and it is necessary to make decisions in such a way that their effects are visible in the shortest possible time in the livelihood of wage earners and workers.

He stated that the main priority of the government and parliament should be these issues, and said: Of course, this does not mean that we should not be indifferent to social anomalies; No, but we must identify social phenomena and anomalies in this field and fields with positive and cultural works.

He pointed out: while identifying social phenomena and anomalies, we must take care of them, which of course is a difficult task and not an easy task; Because when a matter turns into disorder, social abnormality and abnormal behavior, and this problem itself becomes a social problem, it is no longer possible to solve the problem with palliative treatments and temporary solutions; In fact, we should look for fundamental solutions and not just fix the problem.

Fatemi stressed: The result of my speech is that national cohesion, social organizations and unity and synergy are the first priority and we must pay attention to them and we have said many times that we must shout about these issues.

In the end, he stated: In addition to these issues, necessary synergy and coordination should be done regarding the extremely special article of Part 3 of Article 106 of the 7th Development Plan Law in order to take an effective step to save people's livelihood.
