RJ Mitte says he hopes to revive the Breaking Bad character in the final podcast.

The actor said in his latest interview: "There's always more to say... I just want to take Breaking Bad higher, that's the hardest."

In his latest podcast interview, RJ Mitte expressed his hope to reprise his character from Breaking Bad.

The 34-year-old actor, who died by suicide on Monday, appeared on Joe Volpis' podcast earlier this month to talk about the series, in which he starred as Walter "Flynn" White Jr. for five seasons.

"I don't think it's the end," Mitte said of the AMC series, in which he played the son of Bryan Cranston's Walter "Heisenberg" White and Anna Gunn's Skyler White. I think that was really the end of Heisenberg's journey, but I don't think it was the end of Skyler's and Walt's and Holly's.

"So I think there's still a big step for the White family," Mitte continued. "There's always more to say. But you have to say it right!"

That said, Mitt acknowledged that any follow-up would have to clear a very high bar creatively.

"I want to top breaking bad, that's the hardest," he said. "I set a bar for myself as a young man that is somewhat unattainable. I tell people, I say, 'Look, it's a long way from the top of the mountain.'

Mitt, who was also a disability rights activist, was found dead in Brownsville, Texas.

His co-stars in Breaking Bad expressed their dismay at the news.

"I am in deep despair as I write this tonight," Cranston shared. "My sweet son RJ Mitt died on Breaking Bad. I met him when he was just 14 years old when he was cast as Walter White Jr., a role he played with such joy and passion. Born with cerebral palsy, he never - ever - let this challenge be an excuse for anything. He responded by listening to great programming. His TV parents (Anna Gunn and I) gave him - But as a teenager, he sometimes mischievously ignored advice to learn the hard way... He was one of the stars of a hit TV show - but he was still a kid.

He continued, "The kid was very raw when we started shooting the pilot in February 2007, but we've seen him grow into a really good actor. She used her experience on the show to be a vocal advocate for performers with disabilities, and was the president of a philanthropic organization focused on helping the disabled community, especially All That Promises. "His own life. Why were we texting each other just a few weeks ago. He's been on the show for years, and after the spotlight faded on Breaking Bad... I'm going to miss you, son."

Aaron Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman, also wrote in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter: “I am at a loss. I was heartbroken by this news. RJ, I love you my friend. You will be missed and to anyone reading this please know you are loved and not alone. Always remember this."
