X-Ray Detection System Inaugurated at Shahid Salahi Checkpoint in Dashtestan

Bushehr – An X-ray detection system was inaugurated at the Shahid Salahi checkpoint in Dashtestan in a ceremony attended by the head of the Police Against Smuggling of Goods and Currency and Economic Security of the Law Enforcement Command (FARAJA).

Bushehr- The X-ray detector system was inaugurated at the Shahid Salahi police station in Dashtestan in the presence of the head of the anti-trafficking and foreign exchange and economic security police.

According to Mehr reporter, in an official ceremony with the presence of Sardar Jalal Amini, head of the anti-trafficking and currency smuggling and economic security police of Faraja, the advanced X-Ray detector system was unveiled and put into operation in Shahid Salahi police station in Dashtestan.

Sardar Amini said in this ceremony on Wednesday afternoon: Shahid Salahi police station in Dashtestan, as one of the three main stations in Bushehr province, is located on the communication route from the southern provinces to the center of the country and plays a key role in controlling the traffic of heavy vehicles and detecting smuggled goods. The installation and operation of this detector system provides the possibility of non-contact and accurate inspection of cargo in transit without the need to unload the cargo.

Referring to the increasing complexity of organized smuggling networks, he emphasized the necessity of using new technologies and stated: Traditional road inspection methods are no longer responsive to the volume and variety of smuggling today. X-ray detector systems are the electronic eyes of the police at entry and exit points and do not allow any cargo to pass through these bottlenecks without careful monitoring.

In describing this device, Sardar Amini stated: The detector system installed in Shahid Salahi Stop and Inspection is a type of high-speed truck scanner that is able to scan a heavy vehicle completely within 15 seconds to one minute. With accurate imaging, this device has the ability to identify hidden compartments, complex embeddings, and illegal shipments.

The head of the anti-trafficking of goods and currency and economic security of Faraja stated: We hope that by using this equipment, we will see a significant increase in detections and a decrease in the passage of smuggled goods through the transportation axes in the south of the country.

This ceremony, which was held with the presence of a group of law enforcement, judicial and local officials of Dashtestan city, is considered a turning point in improving the operational and technical capacity of the police in the fight against the smuggling of goods and currency in Bushehr province.
