The Smart Car #2, a small electric car designed by Mercedes-Benz and engineered by Geely, was recently unveiled at the Paris Motor Show and is available for pre-order in Europe at an attractive price.

The Smart brand introduced the Smart #2 model as a compact electric car in Paris. This two-passenger model combines the classic spirit of the Smart Fortwo with modern technologies and is offered for the urban electric vehicle market.

Smart #2: Launch and Pricing

Smart #2 was introduced globally on October 12, 2026 at the Paris Motor Show. This EV, designed by Mercedes-Benz and produced by Geely, is reminiscent of the two-door Smart Fortwo. Pre-order prices in Europe start at €19,990. The limited-edition "Couture Edition" is priced at 112,999 yuan in China (999 units) and comes with full premium specifications including a glass roof, interior lighting, heated seats and steering wheel, Sennheiser sound system and wireless charging in Europe.

Smart #2 has a two-door, two-passenger design with modern elements. The design includes LED daytime running lights, projector headlights and a capsule grille. The Couture Edition looks more special with the dual color of "Matte Cloud White" and "Corona Gold" and gold details. 16-inch gold "Sky Dome" rims and staggered tire arrangement are other features. The overall dimensions of this car include length 2,751 mm, width 1,669 mm, height 1,555 mm and wheelbase 1,875 mm.

The Smart #2 cabin features an "S-shaped" design with Flyme Link floating display and digital cluster. Interior amenities include 256-color lighting, heated seats and steering wheel, Sennheiser audio system, and L2 level driver assistance system. Smart #2 is equipped with a 60 kW (80 hp) electric motor in the rear. CATL's 35.8 kWh LFP battery pack offers a CLTC range of 410 km. 65kW DC fast charging will charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 20 minutes. This car also has a turning radius of at least 3.35 meters.
