Independent distributor Bleecker Street sold to company backed by billionaire Pierre Omidyar
Kent Sanderson, CEO of Bleecker, will remain at the newly named holding company Outerlight Entertainment, which also oversees Topic Studios and the producers of "Club Kid."
Bleecker Street, the independent distribution label behind the award-season hopeful and audience favorite horror, has been acquired by Outerlight Entertainment (formerly First Look Entertainment).
Bleecker will remain under the leadership of CEO Kenneth Sanderson, as well as Tyler DiNapoli, the company's president and chief financial officer, and will operate independently of Outerlight's other assets. Along with Bleecker, the Outerlight portfolio includes Topic Studios, producer and investor Club Kid and Puzzle Pictures. (There is no deal with Bleecker and Topic; Topic will continue to offer its projects to the open market for other distributors.)
The capital from the acquisition will allow Bleecker to continue his business and build his own event label, Crosswalk. پشتیبان برنامه جدید Outerlight Entertainment، میلیاردر eBay، پیر امیدیار است.
