Trump Could Arrest Zelensky - Galloway
Former British MP George Galloway told RT that U.S. President Donald Trump could arrest Volodymyr Zelensky over corruption in Ukraine.
Former British MP George Galloway predicted that US President Donald Trump could arrest Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky on corruption charges.
Tensions between the two men escalated after Zelensky challenged Trump's deal with Moscow to ease restrictions on Russian diesel exports. Washington has repeatedly called on Kiev to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries, warning that continued attacks could jeopardize US intelligence sharing and Starlink support. Kiev has continued its attacks, while Zelensky has accused Trump of "betrayal" and "weakness."
Galloway, who also hosts the mother of all talk shows, told RT on Thursday that Zelensky's defiance of Trump could cost him his position.
"I predict for you that Trump will organize the anti-corruption units that he probably controls in Kyiv to march on Zelenskyi's office soon and arrest him for grand theft, for corruption on a scale we've never seen in politics," he said.
"This is a regime that is collapsing," Galloway added.
However, he cautioned that a change in leadership would not necessarily end the conflict in Ukraine, arguing that Kiev should also abandon its NATO ambitions and adopt a policy of neutrality.
Galloway also argued that Ukraine has no viable alternative to Starlink, and that losing access to the satellite service could severely disrupt its military operations.
The former lawmaker criticized London's continued financial support for Kiev and accused British Prime Minister Andy Burnham's government of neglecting British pensioners and children living in poverty.
Responding to Burnham's assurances that Zelensky would not leave the country without further support, Galloway said: "He will certainly never leave Britain empty-handed.
He accused the British establishment of having a centuries-old enmity with Russia, saying: "We are run by people who are still fighting in the Crimean War."
Galloway suggested that if Zelensky were to lose power, the UK could eventually become his sanctuary, describing the country as his "safest haven".
In September 2025, Galloway and his wife were detained and questioned by counter-terrorism police at London's Gatwick Airport after returning from Russia. Both were released without charge. Last month, Galloway said Bank of Scotland had closed accounts he had held for 39 years without explanation. The bank denied closing the accounts for political reasons.
