Godmother says the suspect in the Great Wolf Lodge massacre drained the family's 401(k) weeks before an expensive multi-week stay.

His stepmother said claims that the 401(k) was drained and that kitchen knives were brought from home suggest Metallica Harrison may have planned the stabbing at Great Wolf Lodge Poconos in advance.

Authorities say the family had an "unusual" long stay at the popular resort before the massacre

A spokesman for Great Wolf Lodge opened up about a family's unusual three-week stay at the expensive mountain resort after a mother was accused of murdering her husband and 3-year-old son, raising questions about the extended visit.

Allegations of empty 401(k) accounts and kitchen knives taken from home suggest a premeditated plot in the stabbing murders of a Pennsylvania man and his 3-year-old son.

Metallica Harrison, 27, is accused of murdering her husband, Charles "Chaz" Harrison, and their young child in a hotel room at Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos.

Thetga said Metallica Harrison likely drained her 401(k) account before the family's three-week stay at the resort. It was not immediately clear whether Chaz knew the account was possibly drained.

According to Thega, the kitchen knives found at the crime scene were brought from the family's modest home in Towanda.

"It was definitely premeditated, which is terrifying," Tetega said.

The toddler was stabbed in the face by a suspect who had previously been found unfit to stand trial, the report said.

The probable cause affidavit says officers discovered those knives, along with blood and drugs, inside the Harrisons' hotel room.

Police initially responded to a 911 call by the suspect who was "suicidal."

The horrifying scene marked the end of the family's three-week stay at the popular resort, where room reservations can range from hundreds of dollars to $2,000.

Tsega said the long vacation raised questions about how the working-class couple could afford to pay the bills, as Chaz worked for a cabinet-making company in Sayre and Metallica was in an undisclosed health situation.

"I want to hear him say 'Grandma April look at me!' I want it, I need it. I'm so broken, angry and I just don't understand. He just destroyed our whole life."

She added that she just wanted to hold her granddaughter again and give her her love, noting that "she didn't deserve this."
