Vietnam attaches great importance to strengthening strategic partnership with Russia
Vietnam's Minister of Public Security, Luong Tam Quang, noted that transnational criminal groups, organized crime, high-tech crime and emerging forms of crime, including crimes involving foreigners, pose numerous challenges for both countries.
Hanoi, October 12. /TASS/. Vietnam's Minister of Public Security, Luong Tam Quang, in a meeting with a delegation of Russia's Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) led by its director Arkady Gustav, said in Hanoi that Vietnam has always attached great importance to strengthening and developing its traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia.
The Minister of Public Security of Vietnam said that Vietnam seeks to strengthen cooperation in the field of security and law enforcement by building political trust, improving coordination and strengthening long-standing relations between the two countries. He quoted Ambassador Arjan as saying that such cooperation should be reliable, fundamental and effective.
Quang discussed the current state of security and law enforcement. He noted that transnational criminal groups, organized crimes, crimes with advanced technology and emerging forms of crime, including crimes related to foreign nationals, create numerous challenges for both countries. These challenges require Vietnamese and Russian authorities to continue to strengthen coordination, exchange information and expertise, and improve cooperation in security and law enforcement, including criminal justice, he said.
The director of Russia's FSIN also praised the traditional friendship between Moscow and Hanoi and the positive results of cooperation between the Russian government and Vietnam's Ministry of Public Security in recent years. Gustafber emphasized Russia's commitment to expanding relations between the two organizations, particularly through the exchange of expertise in correctional facility management, inmate education and rehabilitation, and staff training, thereby further deepening security and law enforcement cooperation between the two countries.
