Alsayed's own remarks reveal a radical plan to dismantle the Second Amendment.
In a video he later made private, Abdulalsayed replaced the Second Amendment and sounded alarms about the gun control agenda in his Michigan campaign.
Al-Sayed avoided the question about the threat of Iran and Israel during the debate
"What if we amend the Constitution, amend the [Second A] Amendment, and change it to the right to health care instead of the right to bear arms?" This is not a university activist. This is Abdel-Al-Sayed - the Democratic candidate for US Senate in Michigan - talking to his own camera on his own channel. And this is one of the many videos that he quietly privatized from his channel when he decided to join the world's most powerful legislative body.
A US Senate candidate from one of the two major national parties, who has a legitimate chance of winning, has actively floated the idea of replacing the Second Amendment — not merely amending it, which is bad enough.
This is not your typical Democrat anti-gun rhetoric. This is a dangerous new precedent coming from far-left Democrats. They find that the courts are increasingly unwilling to let them regulate our right to keep and bear arms. Recently, in ANJRPC v. Attorney General of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled that New Jersey's ban on "assault weapons" and "high-capacity magazines" was unconstitutional. And in June, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to hear a challenge to Cook County, IL's ban on "assault weapons" and Connecticut's ban on "high-capacity magazines" under Viramontes.
Trump's unprecedented war plan to expand Second Amendment rights through the Department of Justice
However, the people of Michigan see through this myth. The infamous gun control group Moms Demand Action has endorsed Al-Sayed. Moms Demand Action is the grassroots arm of Everytown for Gun Safety, an anti-gun organization whose stated goal is to ban America's most popular semi-automatic sporting rifle. And the people of Michigan know that Alcide is in favor of most of the policy goals articulated by Everytown for gun safety.
Al-Said has proven time and time again to his future voters that he prefers to make socialist points and implement a socialist agenda by destroying the US Constitution. His goal is to destroy any form of national pride, American rights, and the culture that makes this country the greatest country in the history of the world. Electing such a person to the United States Senate is dangerous and reckless.
Al-Sayed argued against the Second Amendment in undiscovered social media videos
Additionally, his recent confirmation proves that Al-Sayed is intent on undermining Michiganders' Second Amendment rights. Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords—infamous for her "no more guns" plea—along with her gun control group endorsed El-Said. Indeed, in Giffords' announcement of Al-Sayed's endorsement, Al-Sayed herself said, "It is an honor to receive the Giffords PAC endorsement." This is not a statement from a candidate who apparently regrets calling for the repeal of the Second Amendment.
Anti-gunners like Alcidaz fear that the Supreme Court will likely strike down these "assault weapon" bans as illegal by June 2027. Apparently, this is forcing gun control candidates like Alcide and even California Gov. Gavin Newsom to take the unprecedented position that the Second Amendment should be repealed or replaced.
DOJ Threatens to Sue California Over 'GLOCK Ban', Controversy Law Violates 2nd Amendment
Al-Sayed's campaign accuses CNN of cherry-picking the story. Remember, he didn't delete the video in question. He just set it to private. Here's what makes this more than just a rehash of an old podcast.
Repeal of a constitutional amendment requires 2/3 of both houses of Congress and 38 states. It's not going to happen. However, a senator does confirm judges who interpret the constitution. Every federal judge, circuit nominee, and Supreme Court justice for the next 6 years passes through the chamber that Al-Said wants to join. A man who believes the Second Amendment protects nothing but government militias doesn't need a single word of repeal. He just needs to vote for anti-gun judges over and over again.
For 30 years, gun control groups have told us they only want "common sense" restrictions on the Second Amendment. Now that the courts are enforcing the right to bear arms as written, suddenly we are hearing that the Second Amendment itself must be destroyed. They lose the debate about the Constitution - and their answer is to change the Constitution, the Constitution
So Mr. Al-Sayed: Be transparent with the voters you want to hire you. On camera, tell Michigan, in your own words, that you oppose an "assault weapons" ban. Until then, the video you made private is your truth.
