Russian Defense Ministry Creates Services to Train Neutral Networks for Military Purposes

Specialists at the ministry have developed a unified data classification scheme for machine learning AI systems, enabling developers to work with databases efficiently and in a structured way.

Moscow, October 12. /TASS/. The ministry reported that a service for training military-grade neural networks has been established under the supervision of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has created a service that provides developers of unmanned systems with access to live recording data from the combat deployment of UAVs for training neural networks for military purposes," the ministry announced.

This new service provides unmanned system developers with access to a specialized repository of video footage prepared from the results of using FPV drones and other helicopter drones and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

In addition, the ministry's specialists have created a single classification of data identification for machine learning artificial intelligence systems, which allows developers to work with the database efficiently, structured and based on a single program. The results of the work done by the developers of military unmanned systems are uploaded to the service, where the information is checked for completeness and compliance with the classifier format, enabling the Ministry of Defense to use this data set to create and train its own neural networks.

The Ministry emphasized: This method helps to increase the flexibility and adaptability of the Russian Armed Forces against modern challenges in the field of artificial intelligence.
