The governor of Tehran said: In the enemy's attacks on our country, one-third of the martyrs and one-third of the wounded were in Tehran.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Mohammad Sadegh Motamedian, Governor of Tehran, attended the ceremony honoring Red Crescent rescuers and said: Red Crescent rescuers, rescuers and volunteers have been timely and effective in floods and earthquakes for years. In recent years, the Red Crescent has had an active and effective presence in the wars of our country.

He added: More than 45% of enemy attacks were in Tehran province and we had 1,300 hits here. In fact, more than 23,000 tons of enemy bombs were unloaded in Tehran, and military, historical, medical and residential centers were targeted in violation of international laws.

7250 people came out alive from under the rubble

He added: "The provision of service, the variety of service and the speed of service were all due to proper planning and actions, the result of which we saw in the war."

The presence of one third of the world's aid workers in Iran

The governor of Tehran stated: Until 1400, the total number of Red Crescent volunteers was 460,000, but today it has reached more than 6 million. In the whole world, this figure was 18 million aid workers, one third of them are in our country.

He added: After Basij, the Red Crescent Society is the largest people's network that is present in the country in all crises and provides relief to the compatriots. In these critical days, the needs of the Red Crescent were met in terms of logistics, which shows that the management of the Red Crescent has been very appropriate in recent years and has a special place in the governments.

The use of robots and drones in relief

Motamedian said: The use of new capabilities, such as robots, drones, system intelligence, and active and online communication throughout the country was another service that we witnessed recently, and I thank the Red Crescent for this.
