Professor Natalya Prigarina was born in 1934 in Moscow. He defended his doctoral dissertation on some aspects of lyrical poetry in the philosophical poems of Iqbal Lahori in 1967 and taught at the Faculty of Linguistics of Moscow State University until his retirement. In addition, he has been a senior researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian National Academy of Sciences for many years. He is the author of several books and articles on Persian literature, focusing on Iqbal Lahori, Indian style, Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi and Hafez Shirazi. In addition to these topics, which are her specialized field of research, Perigarina has also tried her hand at translating fiction works of Persian literature, including some short stories by Jalal Al-Ahmad and Ebrahim Golestan, which were published in the literary magazines of the Soviet Union in the 60s of the 20th century.

The translation of six Masnavi books of Maulana Jalaluddin Balkhi was done by a group of Russian Iranologists and Orientalists under his supervision and editorship.

His great and admirable work is the linguistic translation of the poems of Hafez Shirazi, which has been published in two volumes. The first volume of 2012 and the second volume of 2024. In this great work, which has lasted for 30 years and is the result of the sweat of his soul, Prof. Chalisova and Zindayad Dr. Rusanov, one of the prominent Russian orientalists, collaborated with him. In his own words: "In this collection, the text of each sonnet, its literal translation and a detailed description for each verse are included. Therefore, now any reader can compare the Persian text with the translation, read the description and the commentary with its references to reliable sources and find out what Hafez wanted to say.

Deserving appreciation of figures like Professor Natalya Prigarina at a time when the fire of sedition blows from all sides and the toddlers of the civilization caravan brazenly threaten the destruction of the whole civilization of several thousand years and talk about the renewal of the battle of civilizations, has a double honor and value.

May this valuable award given to the name of one of the great hafez scholars of our country be a firm step in the path of expanding and deepening the researches of hafez studies in Iran and the world and an excuse to appreciate and appreciate the efforts of those who strive in this auspicious path.
