According to Mehr reporter, Sardar Hamid Damghani on Thursday afternoon at the meeting of Iranian martyrs in Rasht, honoring the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and Holy Defense, said: Gilan province has offered 8 thousand martyrs to the Islamic Revolution, which shows the spirit of self-sacrifice, resistance and loyalty of the people of this region to the ideals of Islam and the revolution.

Referring to the martyrs of commanders, scientists, students, and different strata of people in recent incidents and conflicts, he added: Iranian people have offered valuable martyrs in the path of defending their faith, beliefs and land, and the memory of these martyrs will always remain in the history of the country.

Saying that the people of Gilan have always played a role in the important scenes of the country throughout history, Farmatdeh of the Yalan Quds Corps said: This province has created lasting epics in defense of Islam and Shiism, as well as confronting tyranny and colonialism.

Referring to the presence of the people of Gilan and Rasht in the public gatherings and the exercise of Iranian martyrs, Damghani said: In the past year and a half, the people of this province showed their insight and revolutionary spirit by participating in various scenes and were noticed among the provinces of the country.

He also pointed to the epic of the 8th of December 2008 in Gilan and noted: the people of this province have always shown their adherence to the values ​​of the revolution in different stages of the Islamic revolution, from the era of holy defense to the events of recent years, and the offering of 8 thousand martyrs from this province is a clear proof of this.

The commander of the Gilan Quds Corps emphasized the necessity of continuing the path of the Islamic revolution and stated: The people of Gilan in this community renew their vows with the ideals of the revolution and leadership and defend their values, land and beliefs.

Referring to the continuous presence of people in night gatherings, he added: The enthusiastic presence of people in nearly 230 nights of public gatherings is a manifestation of their solidarity and loyalty to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
