Also, by sending the number 1 to the number 8999, receiving promotional SMS will be disabled, and sending the number 2 to the same number will allow them to be reactivated. Another way to manage promotional SMS is to use the software or web version of "My Companion". By logging into this system and selecting "Services" from the bottom of the screen, subscribers can enter the "SMS Services" section and then "Bulk SMS". In this section, it is possible to activate or deactivate advertising SMS and manage receiving notification SMS. It is also possible to use the command code *800 to manage promotional SMS and content-based services. After dialing this code, three options will be displayed. The first option is to stop advertising SMS sent from numbers such as 30000, 100012346 and 3000951. By selecting the second option, the content services that may cause the charge to be deducted will be disabled, and the third option will enable viewing active content-based services online. To disable content-based services, subscribers can also refer to the relevant section in the "My Companion" software or call 9990. Disabling advertising SMS alone does not prevent receiving banking SMS and essential service SMS. Therefore, subscribers can manage receiving unsolicited promotional SMS and at the same time receive their essential SMS using the stated methods.
