Why Didn't Tractor Travel to Qatar With Esteghlal?

Esteghlal flew directly to Qatar on a charter flight for their AFC Champions League Elite Matchday 2, while Tractor and Gol Gohar Sirjan had to take a long route to Oman.

According to ambassador Arjan; The second week of Asian competitions for Iranian football representatives was accompanied by different travel conditions. Esteghlal and Tractor were in the Asian Elite League and Golgohar Sirjan were in the second level of the Asian Champions League, but the path of these teams to the venue was not the same.

According to Ambassador Arjan, Esteghlal took a direct flight to Qatar, while Tractor and Golgohar first went to Najaf by plane, then traveled from Najaf to Baghdad by land, and then flew to Oman. This multi-stage trip was followed by protests from two clubs; The protest that was raised by the tractor was louder.

Traktori were critical of not providing easier travel conditions and raised the question why it was not possible to send them with conditions similar to Independence.

The Football Federation previously announced in an announcement that in recent weeks, it has held regular calls and meetings with managers and representatives of Iranian clubs participating in Asian competitions and has made the necessary follow-ups to facilitate their dispatch.

According to this announcement, on October 6th, together with the correspondence related to receiving the permission to enter Esteghlal's exclusive flight to Qatar, the Football Federation sent the official request for the permission to enter Tractor and Sirjan's goal-scoring flight to Oman to the Football Federation of this country. Further, on 13 Mehr, a letter with the same theme was sent to the Asian Football Confederation and a copy was provided to the two clubs.

According to the announcement of the Football Federation, another reminder letter was sent to the Oman Football Federation on 15 Mehr. However, while the Qatari government issued the permission for the Esteghlal convoy to enter with a dedicated flight, the Oman Football Federation announced on the same day that it was unable to obtain the necessary permission for the entry of Tractor and Golghar's dedicated flights. For this reason, these two teams had to go to Oman by indirect flight.

In the meantime, a point about how to issue licenses is important. The Football Federation had pursued separate requests for Esteghlal's trip to Qatar and Tractor and Golgohar's trip to Oman. Qatar agreed to the entry of Esteghlal's exclusive flight, but Oman did not issue similar permission to the other two clubs. As a result, the difference was due to the difference in the approach of the governments of Qatar and Oman towards incoming flights from Iran.

Also, based on Ambassador Arjan's follow-ups, the football federation had sent the complete flight information of the teams, including the number and names of passengers and flight crew, the name of the airline and the time of arrival, to the federations of Qatar and Oman in the same initial correspondence and according to the administrative procedure. As a result, after Qatar's agreement and Oman's opposition, a new correspondence with the Qatar Football Federation was needed for the tractors to travel with the Esteghlal convoy. However, neither Traktori had a request in this regard at that time, nor was the possibility of the Qataris reissuing a license high, because this country had given a license to the Blues caravan due to Esteghlal's meeting with Al Gharafa of Qatar.
