Hojatoleslam Eqdami: America's Hostility Toward Iran Has Historical Roots
Langarud – The mosque affairs secretary of Langarud County, citing America's history of interference in Iran's domestic affairs, said U.S. confrontation with Iran is not limited to developments after the Islamic Revolution and has deep historical roots.
According to the reporter of Mehr, Hojjatul-Islam Issa Kahami, on Tuesday evening on the 227th night of public gatherings, referring to the historical confrontation between Iran and America, emphasized: America's enmity with Iran is not limited to the years after the Islamic Revolution, and its history goes back to this country's interventions in Iran's internal affairs, including the coup d'état of 28 August 1332.
The Secretary of Mosque Affairs of Langrod city considered the recent words of the American officials about the history of Iran as a sign of their conflicting view of Iranian identity and civilization and said: We do not fall into the framework of dichotomy between ancient Iran and Islam; We are Muslim Iranians and we are proud of all our historical, cultural and religious assets.
Referring to Marco Rubio's recent statements about Xerxes and the Iranian campaign to Greece, Hojjatul Islam said: The plan of these discussions shows that, from the point of view of some American officials, the conflict under discussion is not only limited to developments after the Islamic Revolution, but also has historical and civilizational dimensions.
He added: Iranian identity cannot be limited to a historical period or a part of the country's cultural heritage. The Iranian nation, while protecting its historical background, is also proud of its Islamic identity and does not see these two in conflict with each other.
Capitulation and the historical experience of ceding concessions to foreigners
Referring to the anniversary of the passing of the capitulation bill in the Pahlavi era, the secretary of mosque affairs of Langrod city said: In that period, by granting judicial immunity to American advisers, the judicial independence of the country was damaged. An issue that Imam Khomeini (RA) protested openly.
Referring to the statements of the martyred leader of the revolution about the consequences of the Turkmanchai agreement and the secession of parts of Iran's territory, he clarified: historical experiences show that political and governance decisions should be made taking into account the national honor, the interests of the country, and preserving all the components of Iran's power.
Criticizing some statements about the necessity of making tough decisions and handing over part of the country's capacities in order to maintain the existence of Iran, Hojjat al-Islam Kani said: Iran does not have only one component; Land, energy resources, knowledge, technology, defense power, and human capital are all part of the country's national identity and strength, and other components cannot be ignored in order to preserve one part.
Referring to the importance of nuclear technology, he added: it is necessary for officials to pay attention to the views and guidelines of the leadership in expressing their positions and avoid statements that can weaken internal cohesion in the sensitive conditions of the country.
Emphasis on maintaining internal cohesion and paying attention to the capacity of the young generation
The secretary of mosque affairs of Langrod city stated that criticizing some political positions does not mean calling for conflict and slogans against individuals, and stated: America is the main enemy of the country and internal differences should not cause neglect of external threats.
Referring to the presence of people in the night gatherings, he considered this presence as a sign of a part of the society's cooperation with the system and the country, and emphasized the need for officials to pay attention to people's demands and preserve social capital.
In another part of his speech, Hojjat-ul-Islam asked the officials of Langrod city to review the symbol installed in the Revolution Square and said: Considering the continuous presence of people in this square during the past months, it is expected that a symbol appropriate to the revolutionary atmosphere and mood of these gatherings will be installed there.
He proposed to install a symbol of a clenched fist and added: This proposal can be reviewed and decided upon by city officials.
Hojjat-ul-Islam Kahami also suggested that in some nights, the management of the programs of the Revolution Square should be entrusted to the students so that they also have the opportunity to express their views and participate in social programs.
Referring to the abilities of the young generation, he said: There are talented and capable students in the city who can play a role in holding these programs by expressing their views.
In the end, the secretary of mosques affairs of Langrod city said, referring to the death of the leader of the revolutionary martyr, this loss is a heavy burden and maintaining national unity and paying attention to the leadership's guidelines in the sensitive situation of the country comes first.
