A member of the Parliament's Industries and Mines Commission announced the beginning of the import of parts needed by the automobile industry through rail corridors. This new approach has turned the import of auto parts upside down.

Considering the current conditions of the country, relying on rail transportation can bring many advantages, including speed, economic efficiency and high reliability. This new step has been taken in order to support domestic manufacturers and facilitate the supply of raw materials for the automotive industry.

Rail route, a solution for providing car parts

Ezzatullah Habibzadeh, a member of the Parliament's Industries and Mines Commission, emphasized that the Parliament and the government are trying to accelerate and facilitate the import of raw materials necessary for production, of which rail transportation is one of the main solutions. He pointed out that some of the parts are produced domestically, but to supply the rest, MOUs have been signed with countries such as China to import at reasonable prices.

Advantages of rail transportation in critical situations

Habibzadeh pointed out the advantages of this mode of transportation by stating that rail transportation has been strengthened for times when imports from other routes are limited. The North-South, East-West and South-Central Asian rail corridors connect Iran to the big markets of Eurasia, Europe, India and China. This transit route acts as a fast, cost-effective and reliable solution in critical situations where the country is facing sea and air restrictions.
