Breaking Bad Stars to R.J. Mitte: "Nazanin Is a Young Man"

In the Emmy-winning series created by Vince Gilligan, Mitte played Walter White Jr., the son of characters portrayed by Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn.

R.J. The cast of Breaking Bad are paying tribute to the actor after his death at the age of 34.

Mitt, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy as a child and later became a disability rights advocate, died Monday in Brownsville, Texas, where he was previously a joint attorney. No cause of death has been released, but TMZ reported that he died by suicide.

One of his most notable roles was playing Walter White Jr., the son of Bryan Cranston and Anna Gunn's characters, Walter and Skyler White, in Vince Gilligan's Breaking Bad. Earlier this month, Mitte appeared on Joe Volpis' podcast, where he praised working with Cranston and Gunn on the crime drama. "Brian and Anna, they have such a wealth of knowledge and have been in the industry for years and even more," he recalled. And so every day, as much as it was a dark show with heavy themes, everything was very light, even between takes.

After the news of his death, Aaron Paul and Dean Norris are among those who remember the actor.

Paul, who played Jessie Pinkman, wrote in a statement shared with The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm lost. I'm heartbroken by this news. RJ, I love you my friend. You will be. Missed and to anyone reading this, please know you are loved and not alone. Always remember that."

Norris, who played Hank Schrader, Walt Jr.'s uncle, also shared, “Even though RJ didn't play my TV boyfriend, I always looked up to him as a young kid on set. He was a sweetheart of a young man and will be missed. This is so heartbreaking, I can't believe it. Thinking of him and his family."
