Registration of 28 million hatchlings in West Azerbaijan; The chicken market is stable

Urmia - The head of the West Azerbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization announced the registration of 28 million and 274 thousand hatchlings in the production units of this province from the beginning of this year to the end of September.

Mohammad Reza Asghari, in a conversation with Mehr reporter, stated that detailed planning in the field of chicken meat production is on the agenda of this organization, and stated: With this amount of hatching carried out in the first half of the year, not only the internal needs of the province were fully met, but a significant part of the surplus production was also sent to other provinces of the country.

Referring to the favorable production situation in the province, he added: "Currently, there is no shortage in the supply of chicken meat needed by the people of West Azerbaijan, and the market is stable."

The head of the West Azerbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization continued to inform about the support activities of the Livestock Affairs Support Company and said: This company is currently collecting frozen chicken from producers, organizations and chains of chicken meat production.

Strategic storage of chicken in the warehouses of the support company

Asghari stated reassuringly about the future of the chicken meat market: the strategic storages in the warehouses of the Livestock Affairs Support Company as well as the cold storages owned by the production chains of the province have been done to a sufficient extent; It is expected that with the continuation of this trend, there will be no problem in terms of supplying chicken meat in the province in the coming months.

According to him, the improvement of production chains and the use of knowledge-based capacities in poultry units are among the main priorities of the West Azerbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization for sustainability in production and market regulation.

Annual production of 16 thousand tons of edible eggs in West Azerbaijan

The head of West Azarbaijan Agricultural Jihad organization said: production units of this province produce 16,000 tons of edible eggs and sell them to the market.

Referring to the capacities of the poultry industry in the province, Asghari said: Currently, 25 industrial laying units with a capacity of 1,298,000 pieces per period are active in the province, which play an important role in providing the protein basket of the region.

Stating that the stability of production in industrial units is one of the priorities of this organization, he added: In addition to active production units, 2 pullet breeding units (immature chickens) with a capacity of 40,000 chickens per period are operating in the province, which are responsible for supplying and replacing laying flocks.

Development of poultry breeding units using new technologies

The head of the West Azarbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization emphasized: The development of poultry breeding units using modern and knowledge-based technologies is one of the strategic plans of the organization in order to increase productivity and self-sufficiency in the production of protein products.

Asghari pointed out: Continuous monitoring of production units, compliance with health and quarantine principles, as well as improvement of the conversion rate in these units, are among the continuous plans of the experts of this organization to maintain and increase the level of egg production in the province.
