The Cannes animated comedy "Jim Queen" has won a new category of international sales after its premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in Asia.

HBO has secured the first window pay TV and SVOD rights in Eastern Europe. For the United States, Global Constellation is considering several proposals and is slated for a 2027 launch. Jordan Furstman and Mateoline were recently announced as the English-speaking voices of Jim and Lucien.
Set in Paris, the story follows Jim, a gym-obsessed influencer and the most popular man in the city's gay scene. His situation is destroyed overnight when a strange virus called heterosis begins to turn gay men into heterosexuals. Shunned by his followers and shunned by his circle, Jim has only Lucien by his side, a lean and fiercely loyal admirer. The pair travel to the Marais in search of a renegade doctor who may have a cure.
World of Films premiered at Cannes, where festival president Thierry Fermo called the screening "one of the most beautiful films in the history of the festival in terms of setting". Jokers Films opened it in France on June 17 and opened at No. 3 at the box office, behind Toy Story 5 and Backrooms. Since then, more than 385,000 admissions have been made there and more than $3 million has been spent.
Reviewing the film for Variety, Guy Lodge wrote, "The humor and storytelling can be compared to 'South Park' in its senseless escalation and rapid descent into absurdity, and the animation style is decidedly cartoonish - clean lines, raised eyes, flat colored spaces reminiscent of '80s set pieces." "How seriously should the whole company be taken?"
David Allerique and Arthur Delabus produced for Bobby Piles' Parisian adult animation. The studio's credits include James Gunn's DC series Creature Commandos, Captain Laserhawk: Blood Dragon Remix, a Netflix series produced in partnership with Ubisoft Film & Television, and Netflix titles Crisis Jung and Vermin. Umedia ("Count of Monte Cristo", "The Night of Zoocalypse") co-produced with support from Eurimages, CNC's Avance sur recettes, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, Charente region and Réunion region.
The Global Constellation was formed in 2025 by combining the London Constellation with the Munich-based Global Screen.
