Battlefield 6 criticized for further slip-up: 'Charging players for AI-generated content is the height of disrespect'

Battlefield 6 Season 5, "The Siege of Vegas," was released earlier this week, and reactions have been mixed so far. Among the highlights is Area 51, a new map widely hailed by fans as one of the best in the game. Among the weaknesses is another set of Season Pass cosmetics that alarm players' genAI.
These cosmetics include a man with an extra magazine strapped to his vest, one with five pistols in his vest, and someone with a security patch on his arm that says "Secuty." "Why does this guy have five pistols on him?" one fan wrote on the Battlefield 6 subreddit earlier this week. "This new season 5 battle pass skin has the same five pistols on his kit. The Krang mask is one thing, but who at BF Studios approves these stupid af character designs?"
Another wrote: "The magazine design on the second guy doesn't quite make sense, it looks like it was AI generated... Then there's the guy with the five pistols, the wildest of which is the damn misspelled security patch."
I actually understand why people use Ai to build things. I'm not dense, I understand motivations.
What I don't understand is what kind of person is willing to pay for something built with Ai? are you stupid

Since Season 5 aired, several posts on the topic have exploded with thousands of upvotes and comments. Adding insult to injury is that messy designs are sold as part of the season. Another thread on the subreddit reads: "Charging players dollar for dollar for AI generated content is the height of disrespect."
While there's no confirmation that the designs were the result of genAI, this isn't the first time Battlefield 6 has been sloppy. EA's hit shooter shipped out the seemingly AI-generated cosmetics just months after the game's launch, and didn't complete them until months after. The firing of some Battlefield developers earlier this year probably didn't help, even as EA executives poured millions of dollars into a highly leveraged sale to Saudi Arabia.
And even if the developers ultimately decide to keep designs like the five guns intact, things like the misspelled arm patch aren't easy to fix either. After all, he doesn't just misspell 'security', he sticks the word 'secuty' right above the words 'security operator'. I don't think any human artist posted it by accident. At least one that wasn't overworked with downsizing and an unrealistic content roadmap.
