From poetic whispers to the protection of three decades of creation and research

Zanjan - In the era of the fragrance of books and thought, the age of "Zangan" poetry and the ritual of honoring the pioneers of literature of this country, at the same time as the 11th national book exhibition of Iranian publishers in Zanjan, a gathering of seals and words was created.

The memorial ceremony in which the research authority Hassan Hossein Ali (history researcher), the dynamic and committed pen of Salman Karimi (writer) and the pleasant hymn of Parviz Soodi (poet) were honored for their years of tireless efforts.

Another part of this gathering was dedicated to resonating the sound of words. Identification of 12 Zanjani poets in Ilkhani period

Hasan Hossein Ali, a history researcher, in the Zangan poetry evening program, referring to the brilliance of Zanjan writers in the past centuries, stated: the highest statistical frequency and the names of Zanjan poets recorded in the tazkirehs are related to the Mughal and Ilkhanid periods; At a time when the 7th century was known by the names of peaks such as Saadi and Rumi, and figures such as Hammam Tabrizi and Amir Khosrow Dehlavi were shining in Persian literature, the names of at least 12 prominent Zanjani poets were recorded in the authentic literary texts of that era.

In introducing these figures, he pointed to the high position of "Qazi Bahauddin Zanjani" and added: Qazi Bahauddin Zanjani had such a mental character that he wrote a bold verse addressed to himself: "Both Saadi and Hammam, a thousand Gholams are capable of...*". A noteworthy point in the field of bibliography is that, based on the documentation of "Arafat al-Ashqin", in the 9th century of the Hijri, two ghazals by this Zanjani poet were mistakenly entered into the court of Hafez Shirazi; One is a ghazal with the line "Farrokh" and the other is a ghazal with the information "Saqia maye sharab niaz sard..." which the adaptation of the old manuscripts of Divan Hafez clearly shows that these poems do not belong to Khwaja Shiraz and belong to Qazi Bahauddin.

Hossein Ali continued: Qazi Bahauddin Zanjani is the same poet who, according to Hamdullah Mostofi, put Turkish terms and interpretations in Persian poetry in a masterful way. Due to the common style of expression and the use of Turkish and Mongolian words in satirical and debating poems, his works are often confused with the poems of his contemporary Purbhai Jami. Among them is the controversial ode /O Karde Ruh Ba Lip Lal Tu Nokuri.../ which is full of words and terms of civil and life of the Mughal era.

Emphasizing the need to remove the dust of exile from old Zanjan's legends, this history researcher clarified: In the situation where researchers from other regions of the country introduce their native heritage, Zanjan's legends still need rereading. Another one of these figures is Kamaluddin Abulfazl Zanjani, who should not be confused with the other three Kamaluddin Zanjani. Based on recent research and the findings of "Arafat al-Ashqin" tazkira, he is at the top of the poets of Ahed Ilkhani Zanjan with 348 poems scattered in the formats of odes, sonnets, quatrains and pieces. However, his poem Shahnameh has not yet been fully identified.

He further mentioned the scientific and literary family of Zanjani in the 7th century: Emaduddin Zanjani, the son of Allameh Namdar Ezzeddin Abdul Wahab Zanjani, was a mathematician, writer and calligrapher of the 7th century. The world fame of Ezzeddin Abd al-Wahhab Zanjani is due to the book Tasrif Zanjani (Al-Azi), which has been the most reliable textbook of pure science in seminaries and scientific centers of the Islamic world for centuries, and even the scope of his public fame is greater than that of a person like Sheikh Eshraq.

Hossein Ali continued: In addition, new researches and recent scientific lectures in German universities have proved that the famous topic of magic squares (horizontal), which was attributed to the 18th century Europe, belongs to the mathematical innovations of Ezzeddin Zanjani. Although his son Emad al-Din was a bilingual poet (Persian and Arabic), today, sadly, only four Arabic verses of his works have reached us.

By listing the names of other poets of this period, such as Hakim Zanjani and Barqi Zanjani, Hossein Ali pointed out the correction of a big error in the etymology and said: One of the most important figures of this historical link is Ibrahim Attar Zanjani. He is the author of several masnavis, including Miftah al-Fatuh, which was mistakenly published under the name of Farid al-Din Attar Neishaburi, but the researches of Dr. Nasrullah Pourjavadi proved that these poems belong to Attar Zanjani.

Referring to the bibliographic feature of this work, he stated: the double importance of the masnavi of Miftah al-Futuh lies in its final part, in addition to its ruling aspects; Where the poet, in the form of a 150-stanza poem, has arranged the names and characteristics of about 50 prominent religious, mystical and literary men of his time in such a precise way that it is considered a unique historical and bibliographic document in the field of translation.

From the forgotten pioneers to the rise of the new generation of story writers

A Zanjani writer, referring to the background and process of the formation of modern fiction in this province, said: unlike poetry, which has ancient roots in Zanjan, modern fiction does not have a long history; However, during the last three decades, it has experienced a dynamic flow that has a bright future.

Salman Karimi, the author of Zanjani, also spoke about the history and state of fiction in this province, honoring the memory and names of veterans, and stated: Although Zanjan has a very prominent position in the field of poetry, modern fiction in this country is not very old. In the meantime, I must mention the biography of "Taghi Fazli" who, in my opinion, is the founder of modern fiction in Zanjan; A character who is appropriate to his high status and the value of his writings, as it should be, he has not been mentioned in official gatherings and literary circles, and the right to write about him has not been given.

This Zanjani writer, referring to the previous activities in the field of short stories and novels, narrated the process of creating stories in the province as follows: until now, fiction activities were followed in a scattered manner, until a new generation started working in the early 1970s. The young people of that decade, of which I was one of them, created a trend that today, except for me and one or two friends who are not writing at the moment, we can see the continuation of that generation in your dear teachers and veterans.

Karimi continued by praising the role of teachers and companions in this path and added: It is necessary to mention the pioneer teachers of this field, Mr. Saeed Afshar and Hossein Abbasinia, whose classes I had the honor of benefiting from, and also my dear and respected friend, Mr. Khameparast, whom we have not been able to meet for some time; A generation that continued this flow with their efforts.

Expressing hope for the future of Zanjan fiction, he emphasized: Considering that the story of Zanjan has traveled a growing and acceptable path during nearly three decades of activity, it is expected that from now on we will hear more about the story of Zanjan, read great works and witness the publication of more brilliant novels and stories from this region.

The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance of Zanjan Province considered the book fair as a great opportunity to empathize, get away from everyday worries and achieve cultural vitality and emphasized: the prosperity of culture and art of this country is due to the presence and efforts of honorable veterans and dignitaries whose concern has inspired different generations.
