Health Minister Orders Greater Participation of Public and Private Medical Centers to Strengthen National Blood Reserves

Stressing the need for a sustainable blood supply and the readiness of the health system in crisis conditions, the Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education called on medical sciences universities to cooperate with public and private medical centers and the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization, and to draw on volunteer health workforce to support blood donation teams.

The Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, emphasizing the necessity of stable supply of blood and the readiness of the health system in critical situations, called on universities of medical sciences to cooperate with public and private medical centers with the Iranian Blood Transfusion Organization and to use the capacity of volunteers of the health cadre to support blood collection teams.
