BANDAR ABBAS – The deputy coordinator for construction affairs of the Hormozgan Governorate announced progress on the Gachin Bridge project, saying that 30 of the bridge's total 35 spans, each 20 meters long, have been completed so far.

Bandar Abbas - The Deputy Coordinator of Civil Affairs of Hormozgan Governorate announced the progress of Getchin Bridge and said: Out of the total 35 spans of 20 meters of this bridge, 30 spans have been completed so far.

According to Mehr reporter, Safar Sadeghipour on Thursday evening while visiting the operational operations of Getchin Bridge, referring to the importance of this bridge project, said: The initial contract for the implementation of this project was concluded in 2009, but due to the lack of financial resources, its implementation was delayed for a long time.

He added: "Fortunately, in the last one or two years, the implementation of this project has been accelerated and the country's transport infrastructure construction and development company, as the employer of the project, is following up on its implementation."

Stating that the Getchin Bridge has 35 spans of 20 meters, the deputy director of civil affairs coordination of Hormozgan Governorate stated: So far, the implementation of 30 spans has been completed and we hope that the remaining five spans along with the access routes on both sides of the bridge will be completed by the end of the year.

Referring to the role of this project in improving traffic in the communication axes of the province, Sadeghipour said: the operation of the Getchin bridge can help facilitate the connection between Khmer and Bandar Abbas and the routes leading to Kouhistan and Lar, and reduce some of the traffic problems of this axis.

He mentioned another benefit of implementing this project is the reduction of traffic disruptions during the rains and added: during heavy rains, due to the increase in the volume of water in the rivers, the communication routes in this area face the risk of flooding and obstruction; Therefore, the completion of the Getchin bridge will play an important role in preventing road disconnection and increasing traffic safety.

In the end, the deputy director of civil affairs coordination of Hormozgan governorate emphasized: Getchin Bridge is one of the important and effective infrastructure projects of the province, and we hope that with the completion of the executive operations of the bridge and its access roads, this project will be put into operation by the end of the year.
