Durango, starring Cooper Hoffman and Kathryn Newton, has received a series order on Hulu.

It comes seven months after broadcaster Disney ordered a pilot for the project, which comes from Y: The Last Man showrunner Eliza Clark.

Additionally, Merritt Ware, Mason Gooding, and Abby Lee have joined the cast, while The Bear creator Chris Storr is set to executive produce.

Hoffman stars as Mikey, a ski town who is chasing the buzz. Newton plays Bonnie, a home-schooled runaway who works as a greasy spoon waitress. Together they ride an avalanche of bad decisions and fall in love while on the run from cops, criminals and Mikey's wife in pursuit of their American dream. It was one of a number of pilots ordered by Hulu over the past twelve months. In November, the broadcaster ordered a pilot for YA drama Foster Dade, starring Matt Bomer and written by Greg Berlanti and Bash Duran. This project was approved in May.

In March, it also ordered a pilot for Lex, a comedy from Severance's Sean Paul Simms of Clements and What We Do in the Shadows. Deadline knows that the project is about to go into production.

In February, it ordered a Ryan Coogler-directed reboot of The X-Files starring Daniel Deadweiler, and the high-profile project went to series earlier this week.
