While the country has been seeking self-sufficiency in meat for years with a deficit of 100,000 tons, the head of Iran's Nomadic Affairs Organization announced today that nomadic meat production will increase by 150,000 tons in the next three years.

According to Ambassador Arjan, the head of Iran's Nomad Affairs Organization, Jahanbakhsh Mirzavand said today that in the next three years, the production of nomads will reach 40% of the country's meat supply, with this amount of production, the country will be self-sufficient in meat production.

Until now, the nomads provided 25% of the country's meat needs with an annual production of 250,000 tons.

Mirzavand considered the use of knowledge-based companies, the use of raw fodder, increasing the fertility rate, reducing losses and using the scientific method of embryo implantation in the womb of sheep as the main tasks that will be used to increase meat production.
