12-vehicle chain collision on Shahid Shooshtari Expressway in Mashhad

A spokesperson for the Mashhad Municipality Fire and Safety Services said a massive chain collision on Shahid Shooshtari Expressway involved 12 passenger and heavy vehicles.

The spokesperson of Mashhad Municipality's Fire Department and Safety Services said: A large chain accident on Shahid Shushtri highway resulted in the collision of 12 vehicles and heavy vehicles.

Sergeant Major Moin Reza Farkhandeh added on Monday: This accident happened at 9 am today and 12 vehicles, including a cement bunker trailer, a bus, a truck, a van and several vehicles collided with each other.

He added: In this incident, the most damage was done to passenger cars and one person was also trapped, and the release operation was carried out by the firemen.

The spokesperson of Mashhad Municipality's fire department and safety services continued: Emergency forces, law enforcement, road and city services also arrived at the scene of the accident and the necessary coordination for scene management and rescue was done.

According to him, the cause of the accident is being investigated by traffic police experts.

Three people died in the collision of two cars

Farkhande further informed about the fatal accident in Mashhad's green belt and added: In this accident that happened last night, an adult and 2 children died after the collision between Pride and 405 cars.

He said: The cause of this accident is under investigation by the traffic agents.
