Iranian National Athlete Tests Positive for Doping at Asian Games; New Controversy for a Martial Sport

A doping test of one of Iran's male national team members who took part in the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games has come back positive. This comes at a time when this combat sport failed to win a medal in the last three Asian Games editions, and now faces a new problem.

One of Iran's national martial arts athletes, who was also present in the Asian Games, was declared positive for doping.

According to Ambassador Arjan, this martial arts discipline, which has been left empty-handed during the last three Asian Games and its representatives end their work without any success, is now facing a new problem.

This martial arts discipline was represented by three athletes in the Nagoya Asian Games, one representative in the men's division and two representatives in the women's division. Now the doping test of the male athlete in this discipline has been positive.

The discipline was supposed to have two representatives in the men's division in Nagoya, one of whom was left off the list for some reason.
