Russian Deputy Prime Minister Novak is ready to increase energy supply to Europe

Noting that the contracts with Europe are long-term, Alexander Novak noted that the gas supply contracts remain valid until 2035-2040.

Moscow, October 16. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at the Russian Energy Week public meeting: Russia is ready to increase energy supply to Europe, including under existing long-term contracts.

"We are ready to provide more volume of supply (to Europe-Dice)," Novak said. It was not us who rejected the supply of affordable and sustainable energy from Russia. Europe made this decision for political reasons. We are ready to continue implementing our contracts.

Pointing out that the contracts with Europe are long-term, the deputy prime minister noted that the gas supply contracts remain valid until 2035 to 2040.

Novak emphasized: Unilateral refusal to provide resources under these contracts is a decision that is not based on the existing legal and regulatory framework. "This is a politically motivated decision that does not serve the interests of our consumers."
