Lavrov: Zelensky Seeks to Challenge Trump
Russia's foreign minister said the Ukrainian president's stance on the temporary lifting of sanctions on Moscow's diesel exports shows he is seeking to challenge the US president's policies.
The Russian Foreign Minister said that the Ukrainian President's position on the temporary lifting of Moscow's export diesel embargo showed that he seeks to challenge the policies of the American President.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, quoted by Ryanovsi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's stance on the gasoil deal is a direct challenge to US President Donald Trump. Such behavior has become a common thing.
He added: "Zelensky has shown that he is not ready for constructive interaction with his stance on the diesel deal." The information leaked to the media about the Ukrainian peace proposal does not provide any solutions to achieve a lasting and long-term peace.
This Russian official said: Russia has not received any official proposal for a peace agreement regarding Ukraine. Moscow is ready for serious, rational and fair negotiations on Ukraine and has never refused to negotiate on Ukraine.
Lavrov said: "Zelensky has set unacceptable conditions for the possible holding of elections in advance."
