'Tooba-ye Zarrin' Call for Entries

The Secretariat of the 19th Fajr Visual Arts Festival announced the call for works and holding the festival (Golden Tuba). The full text of this call is available on the website.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, quoting from the news headquarters of the Fajr Visual Arts Festival, the artistic deputy of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is organizing the 19th Fajr Visual Arts Festival with the approach of "innovative, creative and hopeful art". The purpose of the festival is to support artistic creativity, to identify and introduce the capabilities of contemporary Iranian visual arts and to expand the fields of presenting and seeing the works of Iranian artists.

The festival consists of several parts as follows:

- The competition section titled "Golden Tuba", with two topics "color" and "Iran today", invites artists to send their works with these topics to the secretariat.

In the topic of "color", works that express concepts, sensory experiences and different visual perceptions with creative and artistic use of color and display the expressive and aesthetic capacities of color in artistic creation are considered.

The theme of "Iran Today" represents the events, experiences and social and historical developments of Iran in recent years. Works related to issues such as the wars between the United States and Israel against Iran, aggressive measures such as bombing and rocket attacks, the oppressed children of Minab, the precious martyrs of Nao Dana, defense and military measures, participation and solidarity of the people, relief and medical activities, the efforts of municipal services, firemen and sanctuaries, the funeral of martyrs and the farewell and mourning rituals of the martyred leader can be presented within the framework of the festival.

special section; Art and Time is held with the aim of introducing and presenting the latest artistic achievements of prominent figures of contemporary Iranian visual arts. This section is a platform for recognizing the experiences, approaches and artistic achievements of the influential figures of visual arts and providing a context for audience interaction with the creative and influential currents of contemporary Iranian art. The method of selecting artists, works and how to present them in this section will be determined and announced according to the executive rules approved by the festival.

The "My Land" section deals with the works of artists in the provinces of the country with the "water theme" and the method of participation, presentation of works, timeline and awards of this section will be announced to the general departments of culture and Islamic guidance of the provinces in the form of executive regulations.

The fields of the festival include: drawing and painting, graphic design (poster, sign design), illustration, photography, calligraphy (Nastaliq, Sakhite Nastaliq, Naskh, Tholt, calligraphy), cartoons and caricatures (thematic and face), sculpture, ceramics and watercolor art, new art media including; (layout, performance art and video art).

The winners of each category will receive a golden statuette and a plaque along with the amount of two billion Rials.

Meritorious works in each field (maximum of two works) will be awarded with a plaque and an amount of 700 million Rials.

The three selected works from the total works of this subject include: Golden Tuba statue, plaque of honor and two billion Rials for each work, and works deserving of recognition in each field will also receive a plaque of appreciation along with an amount of 700 million Rials.

It should be noted that the deadline for the recall is until December 21. The 19th Fajr visual arts festival under the direction of Seyed Abbas Mirhashmi will be held in Tehran and all over the country in February 1405.
