Qalanoui: We have changed generations, and we have rejuvenated/The Asian championship condition puts pressure on the team

Regarding Saudi Arabia's hosting of the Asian Nations Cup and the issues raised regarding the security of the tournament, Qalanewi said: This question should be answered by the federation officials, but I am only talking about one part. My argument is the duality of behavior towards Iran and other countries.

He added: Why should our Asian representatives play elsewhere in a country that is really safe? The continuation of this issue should be answered by the federation officials.

The head coach of the national team said about attending the match between Esteghlal and Golgohar and increasing the supervision of the players: "Since the day we arrived, we have been following the matches, both visually and physically, and our physical presence will increase from now on."

Qalanewi continued: Our analysis group provides us with statistics and reports every week, but physical presence can increase our view of the technical, tactical and physical issues of the players who are in the national team cycle.

He said about Andranik Timourian's departure from the national team: First, I must say that Mr. Timourian was not our assistant, but our colleague. Mr. Timourian and Rahman Rezaei are one of our contemporary football stars and have worked hard in football. Mr. Timourian himself decided not to continue and I wish him success in the future.

Regarding the possibility of adding a new coach to the technical staff, Ghalenoui said: "It's been a good year and wherever we've been, whether in the club or in the national team, we've tried to use foreign colleagues as well." The coach who was added to our staff now works in Italy and Mr. Manicone has been with the Swiss national team for seven years.

He added: "If the conditions are right and budget issues allow, we will definitely look to add another foreign colleague."

Referring to the problems of the national team in the recent period, he said: If I want to talk about the World Cup, I have to write a book about the problems and concerns we had. Even in the recent Fifadi, we had very difficult conditions.

Ghalenoui continued: The league was closed without coordination with the national team coach, and for the first time both Omid players and adult players were at the disposal of the Omid national team. Some players were here and some were legionnaires, and when both the clubs and the league were closed, we trained for the first time with 15, 16 players.

He added: Considering the experience we have had in the Nations Cup and the World Cup, this edition of the Nations Cup will certainly be much higher in terms of quality than the previous one. He added: Many players may have high quality in the league, but the conditions of the national team are different. However, I think that about 90% of the players who are going to be in the Nations Cup are in this list. We try to give more opportunities to younger players.

Ghalenoui said about the national team's friendly matches outside of Iran: since the day I arrived, the national team has not played in Iran for about 500 days. We are not in a situation where we can always choose ourselves and we have to make the best use of every situation that arises. In the World Cup, about 12, 13 days before the tournament, we still didn't know if we would go to the World Cup or not. Even in the middle of training, they told us that we should go to Thailand and we requested to let them check the situation.

Ghalenoui said: "We really had the most difficult conditions, but our players gave their all." The future Fifadi can also help us and as I said, about 90% of the players who are going to be in the Nations Cup are in this list.
