Chamran: Tehran's construction projects were also followed during the war
The head of Tehran Islamic Council announced the continuation of construction projects in Tehran even during war and bombing.
According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Ain, the inauguration of the Amir Sub-General Martyr Seyyed Abdul Rahim Mousavi (Dugaz) highway project was held in the first and third stages this morning -25 Mehr 1405- in the presence of Alireza Zakani, Mayor of Tehran, Mehdi Sadaqati, Managing Director of Engineering and Civil Engineering Organization of Tehran Municipality, and Abbas Shabani, Deputy Technical and Civil Engineer of Tehran Municipality.
Referring to the moment when Iran was supposed to react to the attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Mehdi Chamran, head of the Islamic Council of Tehran, said: Our country's armed forces set fire to Israel with a rocket in the middle of the night, in the early hours of the morning, and gave a harsh response to it.
Speaking about his meeting with Martyr Mousavi after this operation, the head of Tehran Islamic Council added: I was awake that morning and thought to myself that due to the events of last night, the meeting will not be held and he will not attend the meeting either. I was waiting for them not to come, but they came right on time and showed up.
He continued: Martyr Mousavi explained to me what happened last night. I told them that considering the circumstances, they could not attend the meeting today, but they replied: No, I had made an appointment and I should have come.
Honoring the name and memory of Martyr Mousavi and other martyrs of the country, Chamran stated: We honor the memory and name of all our dear martyrs, especially Martyr Mousavi, and we are happy that today this highway will be opened in the name of this dear martyr.
Referring to the expectations of the martyrs' families, he said: We hope to be able to work for all the martyrs and their families. Some families of the martyrs have complaints and raise expectations, which are also right, but we are also facing problems.
While apologizing to the families of the martyrs, the head of the Islamic Council of Tehran stressed: We apologize to all these dear ones and rest assured that I, as a member of the family of the martyrs, will do everything we can for the martyrs and their families.
Chamran stated that the naming of roads and highways is insignificant in front of the high status of martyrdom, and stated: Of course, these measures are nothing compared to that martyrdom and that royal ascension. But the purpose of these names is to let others know that the martyrs are alive and their names and memories will remain in the memory of our nation.
Referring to the follow-up of construction projects during the war and bombings, he said: At the same time as the bombings, these plans and projects were followed, and today we are witnessing the opening of a construction project in Tehran.
Referring to the predictions and statements made about Iran's economic situation, the head of the Tehran Islamic Council added: Two or three days ago, Iran's economy was supposed to collapse, disappear, and nothing would remain of Iran and its economy. But today we are witnessing the opening of a construction project in Tehran.
Emphasizing the continuation of the implementation of construction projects in the country, Chamran said: "As our dear ones have expressed this issue several times, blindly to the eyes of our enemies, we will pursue other projects and more programs not only in Tehran, but throughout the country and, God willing, we will present them to our beloved nation."
He expressed his hope that the authorities will be able to continue the path of the dear and honorable martyrs and take steps towards serving the people and the country.
