Deutsche Welle: The American automobile company Tesla unveiled the new generation of electric sports car "Roadster" after about 9 years of delay. Using the technology of SpaceX space company, this car is able to perform spectacular movements in the air and its production is supposed to start in 2028.
According to Reuters, the unveiling ceremony was held on Thursday October 23 at the SpaceX test center in McGregor, Texas, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk demonstrated the technical capabilities of the car.
The new roadster, which is a white two-seater, went up the ramp upside down during the show using a suction system, spun in the air, and landed with the help of special thrusters.
The vehicle also jumped over a truck and several other cars using thrusters designed in collaboration with SpaceX, and flipped through the air as it jumped.
Lars Moravi, director of Tesla's automotive engineering, announced that the Roadster can reach a speed of 97 km/h from a standstill in less than one second, and its top speed will exceed 370 km/h.
The driving range of this car with each charge is more than 480 kilometers; A figure that is less than half of Tesla's initial promise in 2017.
In the unveiling ceremony, Elon Musk said that this car is the result of close cooperation between Tesla and SpaceX engineers to create a product whose example has not even been seen in movies.
Tesla has introduced three versions of the Roadster: the "Performance" version with a prepayment of $50,000, the "Trust" version equipped with accelerator engines with a prepayment of $250,000, and the single-seater "Rocket" version, which will be available only by special order.
The second generation Roadster was first introduced in 2017 and was supposed to be delivered in 2020, but the production schedule has been delayed many times. The company has not yet announced the final price of the cars.
Some analysts believe the economic impact of the product will be limited, and Tesla's financial performance, including profitability and cash flow, is more important to investors.
