Iran's ambassador to Russia: 33 million people are ready to face any aggression

Iran's ambassador to Russia stated that 33 million people sacrificed their lives in Iran along with the armed forces and are ready to defend their country against any new aggression, and noted that America will not get anywhere by continuing the approach of resorting to force.
According to Ambassador Arjan, Kazem Jalali added on Friday at the "Conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization on Security Issues in Central Asia and Afghanistan" hosted by Moscow: In today's world, while our relations are more connected than ever, an aggressive military attack on a large country and violation of international laws cannot fail to make others aware of its consequences.
He pointed out: What is happening today in the region of West Asia, the Strait of Hormuz, the Persian Gulf and Bab al-Mandab, is a direct result of the aggressive attacks of America and Israel and the naval blockade against Iran.
Iran's ambassador to Russia emphasized: by continuing to use force and the language of ultimatums, America will not get any results, but the situation in the region will become more complicated.
He reminded: What can lead the region to peace will be through negotiation and dialogue.
A lasting victory for Iran in the face of aggression
In another part of his speech, Jalali noted: "In the past one year, the American regime and the Zionist regime of Israel, by violating the principles of international law and the fundamental rules of the United Nations Charter, imposed an aggressive and unequal war against Iran twice."
He added: These attacks were carried out while the political negotiations were still ongoing, but in an open terrorist operation, they attempted to assassinate and martyr Ayatollah Khamenei (RA), the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, a group of his family, a number of military commanders and government officials.
This Iranian diplomat reminded: Assassination of political leaders of countries, according to accepted international rules, is included in the definition of state terrorism, which America has a long history of.
Iran's ambassador to Russia said: America and the Zionist regime, in the recent military aggression that started on March 9, 1404, used everything they could against Iran during the 40 days of imposed war, but the end of the work was a lasting victory for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
He added: During this period, they attacked 126,000 civilian units, including residential areas, hospitals, schools, mosques, and economic infrastructures, which led to the martyrdom of about 4,000 ordinary Iranian citizens, of which 220 were children and 250 were women. A clear example of their crimes was the rocket attack on Minab city school, which killed 168 male and female students between the ages of seven and 12.
The ambassador of Iran in Russia noted: In this unequal war, we witnessed amazing and lasting scenes of the Iranian armed forces standing firm. While the American president claimed every day that he had weakened Iran's military power, we saw that until the last moment, Iran's response to their attacks continued, and in the end, they were the ones who agreed to Iran's plan for a ceasefire.
33 million people are ready to face any new aggression
He stated: At the same time as the bravery of the armed forces, the people of Iran did not leave the scene for a moment, and by appearing non-stop in the streets and squares of the cities, they declared their firm support for the defenders of the homeland and the system of the Islamic Republic.
Jalali continued: During this period, we witnessed scenes of national unity and resilience of the people, which were unprecedented in the 47 years after the revolution.
He clarified: The American government has wrong ideas and knowledge about the Iranian people, while our people will stand to the end and will not hesitate to defend their land. Therefore, more than 33 million people of Iran have officially registered to participate in the defense of the homeland and are ready to face any new aggression.
The positions of Russia and China in the UN Security Council were historic
Iran's ambassador to Russia further said: During the recent war and the developments related to it that are still ongoing, the support of the positions of the Islamic Republic was also evident in the diplomatic arena.
He added: Many countries in the world, such as Russia and the governments of the Eurasian region, condemned the attacks against Iran on the very first day and called it illegal. Even European governments refused to approve military aggression against Iran.
Jalali stated: When they tried to create a legal basis for their illegal attacks by proposing American resolutions in the UN Security Council, Russia and China vetoed the American draft on two occasions and with a decisive vote.
He pointed out: The positions of Russia and China in the Security Council in recent months was a historic decision that will be recorded in the foundations of international law as a measure against US unilateralism. We thank Russia's political positions in support of Iran, which shows the stable and deep relations between the two countries.
Iran's ambassador to Russia said: This was the second time in a year that America used the negotiations as a tool of deception and attacked the Islamic Republic in the middle of the talks.
He continued: They were looking for the so-called change of government in Iran, without knowing that Iran is different from others and is strong enough to stand against the entire military capacity of the United States and its allies, while the United States was not alone in this war, and in addition to the Zionist regime, 14 other countries were directly involved in the military aggression against the Islamic Republic, but they could not force Iran to take a step back.
Jalali stated: Despite all this, Iran has repeatedly stated that it adheres to real diplomacy to reach a stable and long-term solution, although on the other side, we do not see the seriousness and will for real negotiations.
The need to provide common security through regional cooperation
In the opening part of his speech, the Iranian ambassador to Russia said: The Islamic Republic of Iran, relying on historical, cultural and civilizational commonalities rooted in our common past, in addition to deep and friendly relations with the countries of Eurasia, Central Asia and Afghanistan, also has dynamic cooperation within the framework of active mechanisms in this region, such as the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, ECO, the Caspian Sea, the Commonwealth of Nations and the Collective Security Organization.
He added: The basic policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to ensure common security through cooperation and interaction between the countries of the region without the presence and interference of actors outside the region.
Jalali continued: Our common experience in the peripheral area in the past years shows that actors from outside the region, because they do not have a correct understanding of the components and arrangements governing the relations between our states and nations, their interference only leads to an increase in the occurrence of insecurity and the spread of security threats.
He stated: What has happened in recent years due to the intervention of the West in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and then the war in Ukraine is a clear proof of the threatening trend of the presence of Westerners for the security around us.
