Governor's Grand Plan to Transform Sari Shohada Airport

Mazandaran's Governor announced a plan to acquire and annex 50 hectares of land to Sari Shohada Airport, saying the lengthening of the airport runway is being pursued as part of the province's ongoing aviation infrastructure development.

The Governor of Mazandaran announced the acquisition and annexation of 50 hectares of land to Sari Martyrs Airport and said that the extension of the airport runway is being followed in the continuation of the development of the province's flight infrastructure. ‎

According to Ambassador Arjan from Mazandaran, in continuation of the development plans of Mazandaran province to improve air transport infrastructure and strengthen tourism capacities, the plan to acquire and annex 50 hectares of land to Shahadai Airport in Sari has been carried out and will start soon.

Mehdi Younesi Rostami, the governor of Mazandaran, referring to the planned plans for the development of Sari Martyrs Airport, said: following the measures taken to improve the airport infrastructure, the acquisition and annexation of 50 hectares of land to the airport was done to provide the ground for the implementation of the runway extension plan.

He stated that the development of the airport should be followed in stages and in accordance with the progress of the current plans, and added: In the first step, improving the runway and providing the necessary conditions for the resumption of flights is a priority, and after that, the runway extension plan will be implemented in the continuation of the airport's development plans.

The governor of Mazandaran emphasized the importance of developing air transport infrastructure in the province and stated: The development of Shahadai Sari Airport can play an effective role in increasing the capacity of flight services, facilitating the movement of passengers, boosting tourism and strengthening the economic infrastructure of the province.

Younesi Rostami pointed out: the set of planned measures for the improvement, modernization and development of Shahadai Sari Airport are being followed with the aim of improving the level of services and providing a suitable platform to respond to the future needs of the province.

It should be mentioned that the development of the infrastructure of Shahadai Airport in Sari and the implementation of additional projects, including the extension of the runway, can improve the operational capacity of this airport and provide the basis for strengthening the air communications of Mazandaran.
