Hashemi: Attracting Youth to Mosques Should Be Strengthened Through the Active Presence of Imams

Birjand – The Governor of South Khorasan said that imams should prepare the ground for greater youth presence and participation in congregational prayers by being present in mosques some time before the call to prayer.

Birjand- South Khorasan governor said: Jamaat imams should provide an opportunity for more young people to attend and participate in congregational prayers by attending mosques an hour before offering prayers.

According to Mehr reporter, Seyyed Mohammad Reza Hashemi at the South Khorasan Prayer Council on Tuesday afternoon, referring to the Supreme Leader's message to the recent national prayer meeting held in Mashhad, emphasized: This message had a very rich content that reminds of the messages of Mr. Shahid, and the content of this message and laying the groundwork for its implementation should be emphasized in various meetings such as the Administrative Council.

He pointed out: Although some imams have done good work to attract young people to mosques and perform congregational prayers, we expect that the imams of the congregation will provide the opportunity to attract more young people to mosques and perform congregational prayers by attending an hour before the congregational prayers in the mosques.

Hashemi continued to emphasize on cleanliness in mosques, roadside prayer rooms and restrooms and added: We do not expect the executive body in the province to get the minimum points regarding the issue of offering prayers.

The Governor of South Khorasan stated that the visit of the Minister of Education to South Khorasan was accompanied by many blessings, and continued: According to the promise of the Minister of Education, necessary measures should be taken to provide carpets for prayer rooms in schools and Astan Quds, as well as the social responsibility of mines to provide carpets for prayer rooms.

Stating that about 130,000 people participated in the South Khorasan martyrdom exercise, Hashemi emphasized: According to the quotes made in the country, the only place where Iranian martyrs died is South Khorasan.

According to him, the Janfada exercise was held in a unique way in the province and all the people and executive bodies, especially the municipality, Basij and the Revolutionary Guards, etc., were at work.
