66 Companies Attend Kerman Mining Exhibition

The 10th International Exhibition of Mining, Mineral Industries, Road-Building Machinery and Related Equipment in Kerman opened in Rafsanjan with the presence of national and provincial officials. The event coincides with plans to reactivate idle mines, expand deep exploration, and complete the mineral value chain.

According to ambassador Arjan, the 10th international exhibition of mining, mineral industries, road construction machinery and related equipment in Kerman was opened in Rafsanjan on Wednesday, October 22, with the presence of Mohammad Ali Talebi, the governor of Kerman, Vajeyullah Jafari, the deputy of mines and mineral industries of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, and a group of officials, members of parliament and economic activists.

This exhibition was held with the participation of 66 companies from 22nd to 25th of October at the exhibition site of Rafsanjan Pistachio Producers Cooperative Company and the activists of mining, mineral industries, road construction machinery and related equipment are present in it.

This event is held in a situation where issues such as activation of stagnant mines, development of discoveries, modernization of machinery and completion of the value chain of minerals are among the important issues of the mining sector of Kerman province.

Mohammad Ali Talebi, Governor of Kerman, on the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, referring to the plans of the province for the mining sector, announced the development of a strategic plan for the mineral development of Kerman.

According to him, the problems and issues of the mining sector are compiled in the form of a strategic plan and presented to the Supreme Council of Mines for approval in order to provide a basis for decision-making to solve the obstacles and problems of this field.

The governor of Kerman also spoke about the provision of investment in a number of stagnant and blocked mines in the province; An issue that can help to return a part of inactive mineral capacities to the production cycle if the planned programs are implemented.

In another part of his statement, Talebi mentioned the problems of the people of mining areas, including Rafsanjan and other parts of the province, and emphasized on using the capacity of the Supreme Council of Mines to implement projects aimed at compensating for the damages caused by mining activities.

Paying attention to the effects of mining activities on the surrounding areas is one of the important issues in the planning of this sector; Because the development of mining and production of minerals, in addition to economic considerations, requires attention to infrastructure, environmental issues and the demands of residents of mining areas.

Vajeyullah Jafari, Deputy Minister of Mines and Mineral Industries of the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, also mentioned the plans of this ministry in the field of mineral explorations in the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

According to Jafari, organizing research information and providing investors with access to this data is one of the plans of the Ministry of Privacy. He expressed hope that by the end of the year, investors will be able to access exploratory information.

Deputy Minister Samat also announced that the implementation of deep mineral exploration program is on the agenda and expressed hope that this program will be implemented this year.

Completing the value chain of minerals was one of the other topics raised in the statements of the Deputy Minister of Mines and Mining Industries of the Ministry of Samat.

Referring to comprehensive plans for copper, coal, and lead and zinc, Jafari spoke about the development of programs for these sectors and emphasized the necessity of providing infrastructure for the production and renovation of mining machinery.

According to him, in 1403, 30 vital and strategic elements in the field of mining have been identified and planned for them. Jafari also pointed to the capacity of copper mines and emphasized the need to pay attention to other minerals that can be mined besides copper and gold.

Completing the value chain in the mining sector means the development of activities from the stage of extraction to processing and production of products with more added value. Achieving this goal depends on investment, technology, energy supply, transportation infrastructure and access to consumer markets.

The 10th Kerman International Mining Exhibition continues until October 25 in Rafsanjan, and companies active in the field of mining, mining industries and related equipment are present in it.
