'High Potential' Lands Post-Super Bowl Slot on ABC
The series was previously the network's most-watched show.
ABC will bring its most popular show, High Potential, to the biggest platform possible during its third season.
The network has scheduled an episode of High Potential to air at Super Bowl LXI on February 14, 2027. ABC made the announcement via a short promo with star Kaitlin Olson during its Monday Night Football telecast.
High Potential is set to begin its third season early next year as part of ABC's midline. The Super Bowl episode won't be the first season, but the network has yet to announce a third season air date.

The second season of High Potential averaged 16 million cross-platform viewers over 35 days, ranking third among all network programming (excluding live sports) for the 2025-26 season. It also led all non-sports network programming in the key ad sales demographic of adults 18-49 (3.35 rating, equivalent to about 4.56 million people in that age bracket).
Airing after the Super Bowl gives the series a chance to surpass that number in one night. The last post-game scripted show, CBS' Tracker, which aired in 2024, drew 18.44 million viewers.
In High Potential, Olson plays a woman with an "exceptional mind," as the show's tagline says, and a knack for solving criminal cases that leads to a consulting job with the show. LAPD Daniel Sonjata, Javashia Leslie, Denise Akdeniz, Ameera Jay, Matthew Lamb, and Jodie Reyes also star.
ABC holds the rights to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2006 and, along with other Disney outlets, is launching a year-long advertising campaign for the event. The game will also be simulcast on ESPN and Disney+ with alternate presentations on ESPN2, ESPNU and NFL Network. ESPN Deportes and Univision will telecast in Spanish.
High Potential is created by Drew Goddard based on the French series Haute Potentiel Intellectuel. Nora and Lila Zuckerman executive produce the third season with Goddard and Sarah Esberg of Goddard Textiles and Olson. Andrea Massaro of Goddard Textiles is an EP member. It is the 20th television Disney studio.
