Country music's dominant hunting season continues as Ko Wetzel bags a monster bull.
Ko Wetzel posted a huge take on the bull on Instagram with his compound bow, captioning the post with just two words: "Oklahoma beat."
Country star Chris Johnson talks about his grueling Colorado elk hunt
Country music star Chris Johnson tells OutKick OutDoors about his challenging elk hunt in Colorado, where he finally bagged a bull in the last 30 minutes of his trip. The "Buy Me A Boat" singer also explains why she takes the sport so seriously.
Country music stars are having a hunting season.
Luke Combs, Riley Green, Parker McCullum and Sam Barber have all been in action this fall. Chris Johnson recently told OutKick OutDoors about his elk hunting adventure in Colorado.
And now Ku Wetzel joins the party with an absolute monster of a bull moose.
The Texas-born singer showed off her impressive crop on Instagram Wednesday, posing on the back of the massive animal with a compound bow on her body. The bull has a huge set of horns, and judging by the smile on Wetzel's face, he's very pleased with how this particular hunting trip went.
Caption? Just two words: "Oklahoma broke."
It's unclear if Ko is revealing his hunting location or if he just happens to be listening to a very good Stoney LaRue song. Probably both.
In any case, this animal is impressive.
The post comes just a day after Wetzel shared a series of music-related photos on Instagram with the caption: "Posted from a remote area hunting deer."
Country star Chris Johnson admits he got "a little giddy" before his Colorado elk hunt.
Apparently he was making very good use of his time in that remote area.
And to anyone familiar with Wetzel's love of hunting, none of this should come as a surprise.
During a June appearance on the Country Outdoors podcast, Wetzel made it abundantly clear that hunting season takes precedence over almost anything else on his calendar.
"Don't call me from October to February because you probably won't get a good response," he said.
Well, it's October. So consider this your friendly reminder to leave the Queue Wetzel alone.
The 34-year-old singer has been hunting since childhood, growing up in East Texas and learning to appreciate the outdoors long before his music career began. In a 2024 interview with Hook & Barrel, he revealed that he got his first bow when he was just 8 years old and that he still shoots archery year-round and sometimes brings his bows on tour.
And this is certainly not his first giant deer.
Wetzel had previously taken a large bull in New Mexico that reportedly shot a rifle more than 540 yards. During a 2025 appearance on "Country Outdoors," he also talked about taking a bull that measured more than 380 inches.
It's unclear if they were the same animal, but one thing is certain: Wetzel has plenty of experience chasing big game.
His latest Instagram post does not reveal the bull's score or details of the hunt.
We've been asking him, but he's been very clear that he doesn't call at this time of year.
